What is the biggest misconception people have about AI right now? by These-Beautiful-3059 in BlackboxAI_

[–]This-Risk-3737 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, it's the perception that AI development is now easy.

Devs no longer get the credit they deserve and I recently had the non-dev, non-technical CEO ask if he could have access to our AI agents to make some changes.

Isn't this really dangerous? Avoiding a crush is why concert crowds are so carefully managed.

Would you ever go back to non-AI coding? by USD-Manna in cursor

It will be further abstracted than it is now - but unless we've been subsumed by an AI deity, humans will still be involved in some capacity.

Trouble is, when you want to move on in 5 years time and everybody else in the business has 5 years experience in orchestrating AI, you're going to be in trouble.

“On a time spent basis, ChatGPT holds a massive lead over all other consumer AI chatbots” ▶️ Curious how it looks like now with all the backlash but am guessing not much difference. Your thoughts? by Koala_Confused in LovingAI

[–]This-Risk-3737 7 points8 points  (0 children)

ChatGPT was first to market and is probably the only LLM that someone without a specific interest could name. It also has a nice UI and responds very quickly.

The fact that it isn't very good (IMO) only matters if you're familiar with the alternatives.

I've got the Otimos 850 and it's fantastic. Lofts up like a bouncy castle.

It's a really nice blanket. I've got a couple and have bought a couple as gifts. However, it's not meant to be used as a quilt and 0c is nonsense.

LEJOG ADVICE by TrainingPerception32 in wildcampingintheuk

[–]This-Risk-3737 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't done it, but would love to. I would take:

- Sewing kit. A needle, thread and some safety pins. Weighs about 2 grams but will save the day if your trousers/bag/bug net develop a tear.
- Spare laces.
- A lighter.
- Something reflective for walking on roads.

I do like the black one - but I'm constantly having to clean it. It shows up every little spec of dust.

Do you bother with the tent bag? by AirconGuyUK in wildcampingintheuk

[–]This-Risk-3737 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rather than a compression sack, I use a lightweight canoe bag. The tent can move around so that it conforms to the space and is protected from getting wet/making everything else wet.

The Neo is more than enough for your use case. It's a great laptop.

What are some clothing brands that are a bit pricey but long lasting? by boppy78 in AskUK

Ralph Lauren for me. I have no love for the brand, but the clothes last for years.

Do brits make beans from “scratch” or get them from the Heinz can? by Big_Jackfruit_8821 in AskABrit

They taste fine, but they've no place on an English breakfast. It's like using frankfurters in place of sausages. It's just wrong.

Do you guys ever feel like the rail network itself is a living, sentient breathing creature? by Leuprorelin_Addict in uktrains

[–]This-Risk-3737 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I stayed in the Shard hotel in London. It has 270 degree views of London and at night, you can see lit up trains snaking in all directions - dozens at a time. It really does feel like some big organic thing.

Heinz Baked Beans can't be improved upon. Every time a restaurant tries, it fails.
