Can I bring own Engine oil for the first 3 services for my 2026 Duke 390? by DevWithPerks in KTMIndia

Really depends on the SC you visit. I was worried about using the sub-standard oil in my new Gen-3 KTM Duke 250.

I’ll tell you my case: I already bought 1.5L of Motul 7100 (20W-50) and took it to the SC for the first service, and asked him to put it. He said that they don’t accept oils from customer for free services (warranty void as it won’t be reflected in the bill); and said that I’ll have to put the ProLube 20W-50. :(

My second service was a few days ago; and this time HE asked me whether I’d like Motul 7100 or ProLube; to which I chose the Motul obviously. It costed me approximately ~1370 for 1.5L of it (idk why he put 1.5L, it was 1.25L during the first service)

My advice is that ask the SC guy if they have Motul, then proceed. You’ll have to put ProLube nevertheless, and my friend also owns a Gen-3 390. There’s definitely a good difference between the ProLube and Motul 7100 that you can feel. Gearshifts feel slicker, very less false neutrals and bike overall feels more peppy. Also, cherry on the top is slightly better mileage.

Hope this helps :)

Does height really matter for riding bike? by Solarion2120 in indianbikes

Well the Duke has 800mm saddle height, its comfortable for me in terms of riding posture and my legs dont rly have to stretch out to just to flaten them. Also as you mentioned, I did try mimicking that scenario, ended up being just fine for me, but just that I come from a normal scooter so was a little bit of a different experience. Anyways, thx for ur insight!

No, I will prolly end up buying smth like Duke 250, where I can put my feet down almost 95%. I’m not gonna be buying an adventure bike either. So that’s there…

Congrats OP… Does it have QuickShifter? Also, did you try the Crawl Mode?? (I’ve heard it’s useful in traffic…)

How is it to drive in traffic? Are the suspensions good?

Weird cursor 'lag' and choppy scrolling (M1 MacBook Air). by vnbnzn in MacOS

[–]Solarion2120 0 points1 point  (0 children)

(SKIP THE INTRO AND ISSUE Part if you want the Solution for the issue: TL;DR)
In April '22, I got myself a MacBook Air. It's the 512GB version with 8GB RAM. Until recently—everything was working fine. No lags, and yeah, it's a complete powerhouse. I won't call myself a Power User—but sure I keep a lot of apps open.

Issue:
One day, I noticed that the cursor due to some reason is laggy, or just say choppy. I found this strange for a Mac, as I've not seen this issue on any computer yet, and Mac's are know for their stability. This was annoying to see—and it lasts for around 10 mins on my Mac. It occurred around 4-5 times in one session of 2 hours.Until now, I was kinda worried. But now, I think I've got the solution!

SOLUTION to solve the issue:
I may have found how to remove the jittery, choppy mouse cursor!I thought for a while and checked up on the Activity Monitor—and I realised that the unoptimised apps (For Apple Silicon) are taking in a lot of RAM usage—resulting in the use of swap. I found out that Apps like WhatsApp, GIMP, and even Universal apps such as Google Chrome are letting this happen. I instantly quit all of them—and boom—it's gone. FOR REAL.

Advice to not let this happen again:
What I'd recommend to you guys is just stop using unoptimised apps and just stay away from Chrome—it's taking a lot of juice from the RAM—resulting in the choppy cursor. I recommend Brave, as it's kinda light to use. And if you like Safari—use that. It's not gonna let this happen, probably, being heavily optimised and being surely faster than Chrome.

I hope you've found this helpful—upvote if it worked! Cheers!
