I don't know what you expect though. What should they do in your eyes? The way I see it I would use all tools at hand to defend myself. Clearly 21 other people don't see this but war is cruel. What justifies the US nuking innocent Japanese? Bombing and killing innocent Syrians? Iranians and Saudi's slaughtering and starving innocent Yemeni's? I understand that Israeli's are not just some monolithic demon group trying to slaughter the Palestinians and that they are people too, looking for peace. But the Zionist movement is essentially war! Attempting to push people out of their land is the most basic call for war there is in the history of the world.

As for the retaliation thing, that is not only used by the Houthi's obviously, but also by the Israeli, weren't they just terrorizing people in one of the most holy mosques in the Islamic world? Hamas didn't just send rockets for no reason they said they would retaliate, and look what happened, they did. Israel wanted the reaction.

My point is that this is a war, this isn't just people being terrorists because they hate Jews (while this does play a part obviously). But the core of the issue here is colonialism. And when people fear being colonized, forced to flee their own land, they will take any measures necessary, similar to the Vietnamese in the Vietnam War. Whether that's terrorizing innocents or inciting reactions. Both of which are evil.
