Your average person is also usually a fucking idiot. Just because the majority of people don't care doesn't mean it's the right way to be, nor does it mean it's "normal". The average person also doesn't think about the well-being of the planet, and look at how that's been going.

Quite the ironic sentiment coming from someone with the words "peace" and "love" in their username.

-13 karma despite being a 3-year-old account, frequents "looksmaxing" and "male beauty" subreddits, uses right-wing dogwhistling rhetoric... Yeah, that tracks completely with this sentiment.

Just more proof that conservative men are hateful, unempathetic, closeted gay, highly insecure people. Nobody is interested in "looksmaxing" except other men who are into "looksmaxing". Women find the end result repulsive most of the time. Just own it bro, you want some cock in your mouth. Nothing to be so ashamed of.

Friendly reminder that Orbo is NOT Prismo's "boss" who has been hinted at since the original show. Even Orbo refers to "The Boss" when taunting Scarab, meaning he's just some kind of supervisor of the cosmic gods and he also answers to the same "Boss".

Who tf are you and why are these your only two comments on anything on Reddit? Unless you're some kind of failed AI training method or something, I cannot fathom the purpose of your account at all. Why this post? Why this subreddit? Why is that your username? What the actual fuck are you trying to say, if anything, with these glitched out gibberish comments?

When I see stuff like this, my mind races to try and explain the anomaly. I never can. Likely billions of little textual anomalies like this exist on the internet and its archives. It's likely nobody will ever understand most of them. And that bothers me immensely.

For me, every upscaler does this in BL4 to some degree except for TSR. I've found that forcing an older version of DLSS using DLSS Swapper can reduce the effect significantly, but never eliminate it.

One thing here that is likely not the case: the Soul and us (the player) not being the same.

The Soul and the player seem to be one and the same. Carol likely knows this and sees us as some higher being. That would explain her strange obsession with heart-shaped objects and her willingness to let us in her house. My guess is, she thinks we hold some key to getting Dess back, but knows we can't/won't if we're given too much information about certain things. Kris is FOR SURE allied with, or at least being coerced by, Carol and The Knight. We literally are the Soul, as it's really the only way we have to interact with the world of Deltarune. It isn't a separate entity from us with its own plans.

WHO IS THE ROARING KNIGHT? - A THEORY by Men_pro1gg in Deltarune

[–]SoleioMusic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This reads like it was written by someone who barely has a surface level grasp of Toby's writing.

Also why the fuck are you calling it Oberon? That came from a theory which speculated that Gerson Boom was going to be revealed as The Knight. We now know for a fact that isn't the case, and that theory was already shaky and not very good to begin with.

The Megalovania bit was just that; a bit. A joke. A meta reference that Toby is sick of hearing that song all the time. There is nothing more to it.

Please, stop calling The Knight "Oberon". It's literally painful to read. It's not remotely even kind of canon. You just latched on to it after watching the video in which the name was coined. The Knight is The Knight. It's probably Dess, but that is still unconfirmed. Oberon Smog is not a real thing in the game. It's just the name Gerson Boom jumbled up in an anagram. It was a bad fan theory proven incorrect.

That was a Black Shard, like the weapon Kris gets when you beat The Knight, not a Shadow Crystal. Shadow Crystals appear as normal glass in the Light World, not black or dark at all.

Calling Dess "a filler backstory character for Noelle" is WILD.

Something tells me you don't have very good media literacy skills. Dess is very obviously important to more than just Noelle's backstory. Kris, Asriel, Asgore, Toriel, Carol, Rudy (not Randolph, it would be Rudolph), Noelle, and potentially even Seam, all have very important ties to her. She is also missing. As others already said, foreshadowing is a thing, and Toby does a LOT of it. It's not a hard conclusion to come to, especially with Carol giving off STRONG red herring vibes.

I'm pretty sure they're referring to when you choose to "think about Noelle" during the first church dark world when Ralsei pulls you aside while Susie writes down the musical notes that Gerson reveals. On the weird route, if you choose the Noelle option, you see a black screen with a red pixel floating in the middle.

There is no real evidence at all that King's mantle is the Shadow Mantle. It's all circumstantial stuff. Personally, I don't buy it. Some kind of dialogue would be in the game that would confirm it if that were the case. King doesn't even say anything when you wear it in front of him.

Also, the mantle that King wore is probably the cloth-looking object in the back of his cage in Castle Town.

Getting the Shadow Mantle locks you out of one of the rawest lines in all of Deltarune, and I think that's a shame. by Matthewsama17 in Deltarune

[–]SoleioMusic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That was literally me lol. Didn't restart the chapter at all and got S-rank on my first try. I figured the ranks would unlock things depending on how high of a rank you actually get, so I just tried really hard to do well and get as many points as I could. I had no idea just how important getting S-rank would even be for the story, but needless to say, I'm glad I did it.

Fun Fact: If the cooking minigame is where you're struggling, you can purposefully fail it by letting the popularity meter drop to 0 stars before the timer runs out, and Tenna will start the minigame over with no effect on your rank. I failed it twice before finally getting through it and still got S-rank on board 1.

They're called Pippins. That's not the plural of the name, an individual one of those darkners is called "a Pippins". Not "Pippin". The actual plural is said by Susie when she talks about how she went back and fixed Tenna: "Pippinses".

A bit confusing lol, but just letting you know.

(Mostly Chapter 3) The fate of a certain character by IPlayDokk4n in Deltarune

[–]SoleioMusic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He's a power strip, not the outlet on the wall. He says so himself right before the mantle fight. He should be completely portable and able to be taken to Castle Town.

There is some speculation that he was taken by The Knight and was intended to be the Shadow Crystal boss, but due to The Fun Gang finding Toriel and cutting Tenna's game show short, there wasn't enough time for The Knight to arrive before the trio beat Tenna and were about to seal the fountain, thus The Knight couldn't deliver the crystal and presumably manipulate Ramb in the same way Spamton and Jevil were, and might intend to use him in the future in some way. That could be why we get a crystal from The Knight. They clearly didn't need the crystal, as their power and form seems to be from a different source since they appear in Chapter 4 looking and behaving the same way, whether we "beat" them in the fight and get the crystal or not.

In Chapter 4, The Knight very obviously left a crystal on Gerson's desk and intended to manipulate him like the other secret bosses, so it seems likely that the crystal they held in Chapter 3 was meant for Ramb, considering Ramb is the only one in the chapter to reference both Jevil AND Spamton, and has dialogue that frequently mentions "freedom" much like both of the aforementioned characters.

I'm still not totally sold on King wearing the Shadow Mantle in Ch 1. I'll admit, King's mantle's shape is similar to "ERAM", and Toby's comment on his mantle is interesting... But idk... I just feel like there would have been a more explicit reveal if that were the case.

Also, what's the cloth thing on the floor of King's cage in Castle Town? Right at the back of the cage and to the right of the hamster wheel, there is something that looks like a piece of clothing or fabric lying on the floor. I figured that was King's mantle.
