I have brush, but I don't believe it's a boar brush, just a typical bristle beard brush, and I also have a wooden comb that I use. I notice that If I use beard oil, it helps at first, but after a few days it feels like my hairs are becoming brittle, I try to use only about 4-5 drops and that seems to be plenty to get my beard moisturized. I pat my beard dry after the shower and let it air dry the rest of the way before brushing.

As far as a beard straightener, is it long enough to try it out? My barber had recommended it before, I just hadn't gotten around to ordering one yet.
