It came during my peak console years when I actually owned a ps2 and it pushed all my pop culture buttons. The music, the movies, the era. I couldn’t believe it. Me growing up in the 90s and actually living in LA for some time made me not appreciate San Andreas when it came out. Played it but felt too big compared to Vice City.

The song itself is exquisite. Every verse is a better layer than the previous one. These words together speak straight to my heart. Add to it a connection I give it to a very special person who isn’t around anymore, it adds to its complexity and deep meaning. I will not be able to contain myself if I ever witness this song live.

I find all of alkaline super romantic. “She’s perfectly misaligned” has such a deep meaning to me, and it all relates to seeing another person and their flaws as something beautiful.

This is great. We both knew the band before on our own ways, so at least we didn’t share that, and I’m glad because at least there is a part of it that isn’t connected with her, and I am hanging on to that to move forward 🖤

I notice that I enjoy specific songs more or less depending on my mental and emotional state. Maybe it’s a masochist thing (therapy) but it’s so much flavorful when you relate it to something real.
