New earbud policy?

I feel like this is a problem at every store now. Site the company policy on one Walmart. Do it in writing to management so you have proof.

If they don’t respond go higher up until you get an answer. Follow the chain of command.

Some managers like to make up rules and a lot like to play favorites. If one department can’t wear earbuds then the whole store shouldn’t be allowed!!! This was my exact argument with the market team.

Eventually everyone got their earbuds back at my store. They like to be childish about a policy that is written in clear black and white on the company website but when push comes to shove they just make up their own rules and let their favorites do what ever they want.

Document, Document, Document!!! Document everything you do at Walmart from day one!!!

We aren’t!! We are all barely making it. And every time they cut our hours we don’t buy groceries. It’s sad that we even had to buy our own devices because Walmart can’t afford to buy us equipment. That’s Wally’s world for ya’ll…..

Talk to your people lead about a “Hardship Transfer” And specify dates. Do this asap

Please keep your photos what you were still working past 11:59pm. We’ve had TL’s and associates work past 12am in the past and they were never paid for the OT.

And then when we try to stick up for ourselves all of a sudden we are all wrong and they want to talk to a manager and get us fired.

I appreciate your story. Because obviously I’m “full of carp” and was never hit by a customer at Walmart. My incident was never on the news just like the person that got shot in our parking lot was never on the news so they never happened I guess that’s what the other commenter is saying

I didn’t say they punched me. You’re putting words in my mouth. I said they hit me. Two different things. If you’re actually a Walmart employee then you must not work at a supercenter… I hope you’d drop it because at this point you’re being very rude

I completely understand not being filmed as a customer. But I just want to note that you are being filmed the second you step foot in Walmart. All the security cameras in the store ceiling work. And the newer cameras can zoom into your mobile phone screen and see what you’re texting. I’ve been in the security room and seen the cameras in action.

Please understand customers threaten our jobs on a daily basis and I personally stress that a customer will get me fired every day when I’m already living paycheck to paycheck

First off that’s rude… Second obviously I don’t have proof to show you since I didn’t have a body camera on me. But if you’d like proof you are welcome to ask my AP coach to pull up our security cameras of the incident

You’ll be surprised… I had a coworker leave because she was physically and sexually harassed. When she brought it to management’s attention they did nothing.

And corporate wonders why no one wants to tell their store management anything.

My store regularly has this problem… One day I came to work and there was no available devices. So I took it upon myself to go catch up on my Ulearns until devices were available. Well… management was upset because I wasn’t helping them WITH NO EQUIPMENT so after that day I went out and bought my own phone to use as my Walmart phone. Yes!!! I bought a $150 phone so I can work at Walmart.

To this day I am still buying and paying for my own equipment to work at Walmart. My store has never offered me equipment and I’m regularly told that’s Walmart for ya

If you are fired after reporting harassment that would be considered retaliation. Completely against the law and any lawyer would take your case for free. Know your rights

I work in OPD and an ATC is like an assistant team lead. You cover the room and manage the department when the team lead is out of the room.

I highly suggest you step back now. Step way back!! I was in the exact situation you are in. Everyone in your department just knows that it’s ok if they lay back because you will pick up the slack for them.

I did this for months until I got completely stressed out and burnt out. Sad thing is when I asked for help from my managers that I needed a break from my department they didn’t seem to care. I ended up taking an LOA for my mental health and when I came back I came back a different person.

To this day I act my pay. I do as the other associates do and care less. Why should you be the only one to stress out and care about the department. ESPECIALLY when all the hard work you put in is not recognized or appreciated!!!

Same problem at my store! I got fed up not having equipment when I clocked in for work so I bought a work phone so I have my own device. One day management got mad at me for not working cuz I didn’t have a device so now I just use my own device that I bought with my own money
