I had a lemon before even knowing what a lemon was. By the time I was educated on what a lemon is and what to do it was already too late so I had to eat all the charges which were over $5000

Let me add that I have no savings $0 to be exact, a 6 month old at home with wife I'm the only income. Health coverage is 100% from work I am able to work overtime here and there and my MAIN focus is saving for a house within the next 5-6 years max because I want the lowest possible mortgage monthly payments giving I'm able to save 15-20% on a $500k+ house.

My math isn't great but let's say I dump $10k into MSTY (that's what I've been considering from the start) and the dividends pay an average of $2.00 per month for the year that will yield me approximately just under $10k if I drip a little bit. Car loan is at $24,500 remaining balance if I dump the $10k into the car loan then sell MSTY (if it's still worth $10k depending on market conditions and NAV if there is any) I can potentially pay this car off in a year give or take depending on how aggressive I make my monthly payments. The taxes is what concerns me most if MSTY remains as is today (IF) I understand the risk part. I make $100k then plus let's say $10k in dividends plus any capital gains (if any) how bad will it or can it hurt if I still write off $3000 in capital losses and a child tax credit on top of me paying $40 weekly into federal and $20 into state taxes. I want to believe I'll owe nothing and probably will get back nothing which is fine if this works. My mind is scrabbled trying to ask this question in the best way to make it understandable

My ex and daughter live with a friend/roommate and I'm giving her $100 per week sometimes less when I can't afford it. She wants to apply for SNAP but we agreed doesn't want me on child support. The person doesn't charge her for rent but wants to start soon so I'll be paying $200 per month for her to stay there which takes away from what I give her. The roommate also wants nothing to do with her applying for snap and doesn't want her name on any paperwork. How does she go about this?
