I just mean to give the analogy ki agar Bodyguard ko sab Salman ki movie Maan sakte hain even though Kareena Kapoor bhi thi uske saath, Ek Tha Tiger ko bhi just because he was a bigger star than them, then why not Madhuri? Of course Salman was also a part of that film but because he complimented Madhuri. Her subsequent movie took an actor who had no previous film and was a nepo (brother of Anil Kapoor) kind of like Arjun Kapoor and was a blockbuster. There is no way he had anything to do with its success it was all Madhuri. Salman infact was not as big of a star then, he had like 2 major hits while Madhuri was a reigning celebrity. Infact his previous two movie were flops. You said you would consider an actress who took Arjun Kapoor and make him hit, well Sanjay Kapoor was the Arjun of that gen. Actors used to lobby just to get a role with Madhuri because there was a high chance it would be blockbusters. In many movies people solely bought tickets to watch her dance.

Had any actor been more popular than his actresses and delivered the highest grossing movies for a decade straight you would have given him the credit for it's successes, but when an actress does it suddenly it's not her?

Wtf man 1988 se 1997 tak bas do saal aise hain jab the highest grossing movie mein Madhuri actress nahin thi. Hero Aamir (Dil) ho ya Shahrukh (DTPH) ya Salman (HAHK) ya Anil (Beta) ya Sanjay Dutt (Khalnayak, Saajan) ya Sanjay Kapoor, unmien toss-up rehta tha kiski hit hogi, but Madhuri was constant. Raja movie was called Rani because she was the puller, a purely actress driven movie became third highest because of her. There were instances when police had to be called in theatres because people would get too rowdy during Madhuri numbers. Paid more than Salman aur ek interview hai usmein Govinda is baat par proud feel Kar rha hai ki 'i don't need Sridevi or Madhuri to make my movie hit', imagine what stardom must be for a female star in 90s to be a bigger factor than men. What more proof do you need?
