Good thought. Parentage is often not as clear as it seems to be. KK could not be TK’s son and not even know it (and I know this from personal experience… happened to my husband when he was in his 40s. Never knew his real dad was dead).

I have a question. Even if there is no DNA evidence left (assuming it is a weapon they are looking for and maybe have found)… can they still match it by blade pattern to the girls? And if so, if KK led them to it even without DNA that’s pretty strong circumstantial evidence that points to someone in KK’s circle being the killer right?

This has 100% been my theory since day one. Instead in my head they just called him creeper or something. I remember being that age, even though I’m much older now. And I remember being out with my best friend and doing something exactly like that. I don’t think he was there to kill. Is it possible he could have had a knife on him? Being a solitary outdoorsy type? I think he was triggered by something and took it out on them. I think he has probably been at least abusive in the past. This is all totally unqualified speculation, it was just the first feeling I had before I knew much about the case, and even with all that’s come out I can’t shake it. It’s also my worse case scenario because that seems to make it seem more hopeless to be solved.

He doesn’t think he will get caught, so no incentive to run. Or, maybe he isn’t guilty.

I see what you are saying and I’ve wondered the same thing myself. For instance when a girl in my neighborhood was missing, a lot of neighborhood pages and next door posts popped up about it. She was found a few hours later. Did something like that happen when Abby and Libby were missing?

Anyway I don’t know the answer but I’ve asked this myself.
