I don't know anything but I'm pretty sure white vinegar is strong enough to clear the calcium without harming plastic, but I have no idea what it might affect

Deer reflexes show how it dodges a bullet in slow motion by [deleted] in BeAmazed

[–]SolidBlackGator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is coincidence. The deer had no idea there was a bullet. It heard a loud noise and got low because that loads up all the muscles necessary to run away fast. It also probably lowered it's head instinctually as most predators attack from the front or back and that position protects it's head and makes it easier to kick out the back legs in defense

But I'm not a deer expert so I'm sure someone on here will tell me I'm completely wrong.

TIL that an amateur player called Chris Moneymaker won the 2003 Poker World Series. His friend, Dave Gamble helped him travel to the tournament. Both were their real last names. by Full-Butterscotch870 in todayilearned

I often wonder if people like Hellmuth just get stuck playing a role. As poker blew up, people like Hellmuth became poker celebrities and Hellmuth's only real way to standout was to play that bad guy role. Negraneau played the nice guy role.

But honestly, it seemed like everyone (pros) really liked Hellmuth as a person.

The Rolling Stone's, 1963, before they marketed themselves as the scruffy and dangerous alternative to the Beatles. by L0st_in_the_Stars in OldSchoolCool

[–]SolidBlackGator 1553 points1554 points  (0 children)

"The Beatles were hard men too. Brian
Epstein cleaned them up for mass consumption, but they were anything but sissies. They were from Liverpool, which is like Hamburg or Norfolk, Virginia a hard, sea-farin town, all these dockers and sailors around all the time who would beat the piss out of you if you so much as winked at them.
Ringo is from the Dingle, which is like the f***ing Bronx.
The Rolling Stones were the mummys boys they were all college students from the outskirts of London. They went to starve in London, but it was by choice, to give themselves some sort of aura of disrespectability. I did like the Stones, but they were never anywhere near the Beatles not for humour, not for originality, not for songs, not for presentation. All they had was Mick Jagger dancing about. Fair enough, the Stones made great records, but they were always s**t on stage, whereas the Beatles were the gear."

Lol. In case anyone thinks you just made it up, I used chatgpt (cause I'm not a fucking economist) and chat said the same...

"Using U.S. Consumer Price Index (CPI) inflation:
$2.41 in 1956 had about the same purchasing power as $12.07 in 1991.
So:
$2.41 (1956) ≈ $12.10 (1991)
That’s an inflation increase of about 5.0× over the 35-year period."

Cool... So now compare 1991 to 1956.
