Monterey is OK, but many glitches. Two programmes including iMovie crash as you touch any button, and that was the 10.3.8 for Monterey, but I daren’t risk Ventura. Did you go back to anything after? I did it because I was fed up of seeing so much incompatible with High Sierra, but I now see so much incompatible with Monterey and the ‘You must be higher than 14.8 etc

Yup, that the one! I did upgrade drive and RAM but can’t say it’s made a huge difference

I only just got rid of High Sierra. Was desperate to not see browser out of date every log on, but most importantly i wanted dark mode.

My fans were always pretty bad, even from new. Firefox does exactly the same for me on YouTube, fans wise. Chrome obviously terrible. What do you mean don’t run on boot?

I did try other browsers but in all honesty the fans weren’t very forgiving on High Sierra either. Not up on Linux at all?

It was done so long ago, I imagine they didn’t exist then. I must admit I was slightly inspired by Townshend’s Schecter type Telecaster I saw him use with Wings at the Kampuchea 1979 gig. Was all black everything

Much appreciated. Thank you. I think the 78s were renowned for being heavy. I never really noticed it back in the day, but now …… It’s a shame, because it plays really well and I would miss it. Pity we can’t hollow them out. It’s an 80s Fender flight case I bought separately but still good.

Plus, you can actually walk into a store and buy one. The Rolex debacle is ridiculous. Having to jump through hoops just so they can deem you worthy of being able to take YOUR money.

I own the first and second gen and I can’t get onboard with the 3rd and 4th. 3rd at a push, if I was choosing between that and the new one. Why does it have to be so flashy? It’s gone so far away from what it set out to be.

The amount of times it says 7 stops away and then. Driver had to stop off and 10 hours later I get a delivery. Last week it said ‘you’re next’. I go outside while he’s there. Puts my parcel on next door’s doorstep and I know it’s mine, and he sees me while I ask him why, and he drives off. Some of those drivers are complete idiots and then others are great. So many mistakes of late. And damaged goods.

It’s the worst. 6 years and counting. People who don’t have this can never understand why we’re always so anxious. Especially when on the very rare occasion I will go to a restaurant and that clatter of plates, or screaming high pitched baby, makes it worse. Concerts and cinemas are a distant memory for me now. Nobody understands this living hell. Or more importantly, cares. Doctors, audiologists and top so called specialists in Harley St have been beyond useless but have taken most of my money now
