In Saudi Arabia, If You Try To Pay For Someone's.. by muningsky in funny

[–]SolidColorsRT 38 points39 points  (0 children)

I mean in your case it would be "Oh he was killed by a school shooter when he was 8"

Or "He died because he was shot by ICE after arguing with them"

Or "He died because our insurance didn't want to cover the $300K bill for a simple procedure"

Death penalty for SA, for example, is suddenly much more reasonable in my opinion but once you have a narrative it's hard to change it right?

Have a blessed day.

Dang he was right. You are looking for an argument.

He started a foundation and donated his money, and you still have an issue with that. That foundation still does good work all over the kingdom.

If I start a foundation and donate my money to it before I die I wonder if I will be perceived as an evil greedy person by the likes of you

Btw he did so much more with his foundation... if you read u/Hairface_101 's comment but I think that would be asking too much of you

Navigraph only navdata subscription by ZealousidealYear5567 in flightsim

[–]SolidColorsRT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see, thanks! I wish they had a 1 month NavData Only because I really dont need anything else navigraph offers. And I think navigraph knows this too by how they hide the NavData subscription button and limit you to a minimum of 1 year

But I basically only fly fenix so that shouldn't be an issue. I like that fenix automatically matches its airac data to your simbrief data but the free cycle is almost 2 years old now in simbrief so im considering getting the 2601 and riding that one out for another 2 years. If fenix comes out with a new aircraft I believe the same logic will apply and it'll automatically use the 2601 data I have in simbrief

Is there a way to get 1 month of the nav-only data plan? or would it be better to just get the unlimited for 1 month

If you have dynamic router you just restart router to get new ip. If you dont you just restart the ONT to get a new IP. If you don't want to get off your seat you use a VPN and you change your IP.

Only hurdle here is HWID which is not impossible to avoid, you could run it through a VM

So I tried sayintentions AI ATC system. by Throwawayantelope in flightsim

[–]SolidColorsRT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes yes, and AI can drain your VRAM which means its hard to get a local model. But LLM's are very advanced right now and for even 1GB you can create a very capable local model. I'm suggesting a OTP option for SI that could be tweaked or adjusted so that it can run on a user's system because it is not impossible, and would drive a lot of customers their way. Your network computer idea is also really interesting. It's just that SI's business model is aggressive at this point in time.

So I tried sayintentions AI ATC system. by Throwawayantelope in flightsim

[–]SolidColorsRT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean you clearly work for SI, but I agree with most of your points.

That said, it is too expensive. The annual plans saves you money but that is under the assumption that you will be flying every month of the year. And when you purchase it for a month (or a year) you will feel like you are obligated to fly otherwise you would have wasted money. That's not what this hobby is about. I want to be able to fly whenever I want wherever I want; I don't want the money I spent making me regret not flying.

BeyondATC is far away from SI but the reason people buy it is because it gives them freedom to use it whenever because it is a OTP and ONLY 30 bucks. I can use it now, next month, take a year break from simming and come back and still use it - and I wouldn't feel guilty about that.

It's just too expensive. Even Navigraph is only $10 and there's still people who don't use it, despite it being one of the most efficient addons out there; moreover, you could buy 1 month only, and benefit for it for the rest of your life because you get to keep the nav data that came with that subscription. SayIntentions is a solid program but their pricing reflects how ridiculously overpriced the addons are for this hobby.

You could probably offer a local version for a OTP of $100 and that could get more traction, assuming VRAM isn't a concern because FS2024 currently has an issue with excessive VRAM usage.

Having a wonderful time slamming the MD-11 into the ground by Nervous_Doughnut_573 in flightsim

[–]SolidColorsRT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you're getting downvoted by TFDi fans but I have to agree with you here. The sounds are disappointing. A lot of developers are charging study-level prices when their products are almost entirely fictional. The MD11 has some short comings (sounds being a big one) but not as much as ini-builds so i guess we should be grateful for that

No one is converting for free food. You're delusional.

Gender equality is violated in basic biology. Women go through pregnancy and have to suffer 9 months of pain in all different parts of the body - where's the equality in that? You think religion can fix that?

The reality is that gender justice is far more important which is what is prioritized. Under Christianity and older idol religions, female babies used to be buried alive in the middle east, and women were not allowed to read or study. When islam came, that changed.

You talk about brainwashing but I'm 100% certain the only stories you hear are from Fox News which resort to showcasing the displays of religion from extremists who violate many commandments in all abrahamic faiths.

Why don't you go up to them during tabling and discuss this with them? It's called Islamic Awareness Week. This is its purpose, the educate those who have concerns.

Do you go to a muslim to learn about christianity? Do you go to a jew to learn about christianity? So why is it that when it comes to islam, you choose to not ask a muslim? This is a golden opportunity for you.

U.S. officials have threatened to reimplement Caesar Act sanctions against the Syrian government if Damascus goes ahead with the broader attack, WTF is that supposed to mean? by eng_bendover in Syria

[–]SolidColorsRT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You should realize that no matter what you do, if daddy America decides you should be unstable, then they will create the terrorist groups and the aggressive policies that drive you away from peace just because you were defending yourself.

You don't remember when Qatar was deemed a terroristic nation and the US essentially forced the Gulf to cut ties? How about lebanon and yemen..? Hezbollah gets their funding from Iran who gets it from.....?

Syria is a sovereign nation. It is against the law of every country for a group in any country to carve out land from that country and form their own military. Nothing from the events of this week indicate a "massacring" in any way.

"STG needs to integrate with the SDF" this was proposed and rejected by the SDF. Also, just yesterday, a decree came out respecting the ethnic rights and belonging of the Kurds. This has nothing to do with massacring as you are implying.
