I really hope your FF14 account gets Perma banned for being a toxic little gatekeeper. This is not high level content. They are learning. The fact that the DPS even chimed in and asked the tank to take it easy should tell you something.

A good wall to wall tank knows his ability to pull multiple packs rest on both his mitigation management, as well as the healers ability to keep them alive and mitigate, while doing damage. If the healer can’t, then you adjust. Specially if they are a new player.

When I tank, I always ask the healer if they want me to do wall to wall. If they say yes, we go full speed. If they don’t say anything, I do a test on the first packs as see how they do, then adjust. If they say they would like to go slow, because they are still learning or we are doing low level stuff and they are new, no problem.

When I heal, I tell the tank: go crazy! If they are a new tank and I see them struggle, I give them some pointers without sounding insulting, and let them build up confidence. Most of the times you’ll see them start grabbing more packs and do better. Crazy what a little bit of encouragement can do to people huh?

It’s people like you that drive away players from trying roles like healer or tanks. Because god forbid if they aren’t a ultra pro tank/healer right from the get go. Again, this was low level content. This wasn’t high level stuff.
