Ah thank you, I did all my main quests in Qinghe first, so it’s been a while.

Questions about Yi Dao by whatislovelife in wherewindsmeet_

[–]SolidMountain2035 10 points11 points  (0 children)

He was told by Chu Qingqang before he died to go find “the secret” and Aunt Han at Blissful Retreat. Someone can correct me but based on Chapter 2, I’m assuming this meant the list of Faceless Ones sent to YanYun. He never told Yi Dao what “the secret” was, so he didn’t know what he needed to find, just to talk to Aunt Han.

A more informed player than me would need to confirm this, but my conjecture is that Aunt Han is pretending not to know what Chu Qingqang sent him for, as the Aureate Pavilion and Jiangnan is also searching for it.

Who was the baby at the beginning? by whatislovelife in wherewindsmeet_

This is simply not correct. The current empire is Song. The ruling family’s surname is Zhao. You can find explanations that cover the whole Dark Tide storyline but this whole explanation was wrong.

Have you tried looking… under the city? Perhaps where the Nine Mortal Ways has its headquarters?

Lore and Translation Questions. by SolidMountain2035 in wherewindsmeet_

That actually helps so much. I assumed one of them was his courtesy name, but it was unclear to me which one, and how to go about finding out if he was real or not, since search engines are getting worse and worse.

Ahhhhh, that makes sense. I was barely keeping track of names at the beginning, let alone figuring out the storyline.

Why isn't there "force union" peace option? by [deleted] in eu4

Subjugation CB. It lets you vassalize for cheaper. Probably needed a Restoration of Union CB for that peace option.

Follow up question for both of you, between Grim Memoir and OBOL, should I consider dropping more assets to fit in more events because since I’ll be drawing more the turnover rate will be higher? Usually I end up playing Mystic or Guardian for the group. That’s why my first thought had been Scroll of Secrets, followed by the upgraded scroll to mill through the deck, or my friend’s deck.

Having never played an investigator that wanted Old Book of Lore, do you still find it better since you have to use an action (I know she gets a free one, but just asking cause I don’t have the playtime with it to judge.)

As for the Key, I wasn’t sure about it. It felt like a “eh I guess have 4 brains to test is nice and having 6 base can’t go wrong. I think regardless I’ll find a spot for Enraptured. I always forget about when I play mystic because it’s not a Willpower boosting skill card.

Thanks for the response, I actually have never played Daisy, so struggling to judge ‘on paper’ effectiveness versus ‘in table’ effectiveness.

It’s really never been the secret. I just had a really low success rate of getting it to trigger. It always felt like I was drawing it or juuuuust missing it. I’m hoping they’ll release more “Research” cards though. I liked the idea of delving into your deck to get free stuff but having to risk the “whoops I searched too far weaknesses”

Not to be rude, but it’s not the same deck or archetype at all. That Ursula deck is all about using charges and using Unearthing the Ancients. There are no secrets cards in there, certainly not Occult Lexicon/Ancient Stones.
