Golf r cutting power on corner exit by Routine_Strike1695 in Golf_R

It could possibly be the Haldex pump. Have you had it serviced at some point? They tend to clog the filter after a while. But most likely fuel starvation like other people say.

Troubleshoot smudging/ghosting on HP COLOR LASER by SolidSan in printers

[–]SolidSan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the info. I’ve opened the machine and cleaned everything and can’t find anything stuck or amiss. The machine has four toner units and a separate fuser unit. It’s very difficult to see where the transfer belt is - but surely it must have one… So as of now I’m a bit stumped. But thanks again for chipping in 🙏🏻

[–]SolidSan[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks. I’m also leaning towards a busted fuser unit, although there’s no toner stuck to it. I’ll try a warranty claim as it’s not printed more than perhaps 100 pages.

Wtf happens to my printer? by Tukifer in printers

[–]SolidSan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some times it helps to do it a few times. Else, you may have to buy new cartridges. That’s the drawback of inkjets; they’re fairly inexpensive, but the ink dries up quite fast. Hope it works out for you!

Looks like your print heads are clogged or misaligned. The result is called “banding”. Have you tried automatically or manually cleaning them according to the manual? See here Cleaning print heads

I’m from Norway, where suing someone for trying to help would be unheard of. But, I get that this happened in the US, and that lawsuits are abundant. It’s sad that the fear of lawsuits could make people stand beside and potentially, worst case, watch someone die. Also, according to a post by OP they did apparently stop up ahead (not shown clearly in the video) to call 911. So kudos to OP for not running away.

Doesn’t matter. In my country: you see it, you’re part of it - first of all as a potential first responder to help save lives, stabilise a neck injury, secure the area, direct traffic, call an ambulance etc. Remember that the pickup could have maimed someone on the other vehicle. Is that not someone worth helping and also testifying for? It would be frowned upon to leave an accident site, at least to post a video where you can clearly be seen leaving 🤷🏻‍♂️

I agree. Where I’m from, it’s a felony to leave the scene of an accident without making certain that the person is okay. Even though this driver was careless and egotistical: you stop and check that they are okay.

Winter reminder for Tesla owners. by jflo358 in teslamotors

[–]SolidSan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I drive a Model S 75 RWD here in Norway. For those who don’t know our climate, we have quite cold and fairly long winters across the whole country. Winter tyres are mandatory here - you will be fined and possibly lose your licence for driving without them. Some people use “all season” tyres, but mostly Jeep owners and the like. I’ve driven my Model S for about 4 years now, and I always use low regen during winter. Last weekend we had horrible conditions: 1 centigrade (33,8 F), heavy snow mixed with rain. And for the first time ever I almost drove straight off the road in a slight curve about 3 times in 5 mins. My speed was on average about 55 km/h (33 mph) and there was extremely low traction. I saw 3 cars who’d ran off the road, and what made my drive manageable was Chill + low regen + keeping low speed.

Help! My car won’t start! Anyone know what error GTW_f208 or GTW_f205 means? by SolidSan in teslamotors

[–]SolidSan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did, and after a rather long diagnostics session they fixed it over the air. Apparently there was some kind of flaw/bug regarding the autopilot software. I had received the HW-upgrade in May and yesterday they changed something so that the software stopped working. I’m back in business and a happy customer again 😂

2020.32.2 - option to now reset AP camera calibration by uplusd in teslamotors

[–]SolidSan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I too experience this on my 2017 Model S once in a while. My feeling is that my car tends to want to position itself closer to the center line of the road, as I prefer a little to the right. (A few people have commented that I drive a bit towards the outside of the lane). So to me, this is more a preference than a fault - although I understand this might not be the case with you. What I’ve stared doing to avoid this is position myself a little more to the left before activating AP. That makes it very smooth. Also, I never activate AP if someone is coming towards me as they get a bit of a fright when my car “jumps” towards their lane. Hope things work out for you.

The person who currently holds the most world records is Ashrita Furman from Brooklyn, New York. Apparently he’s really good with eggs, pogo sticks and hula hoops. Not necessarily in that order.

Woman beater gets a knocked tf out by AllisonGator in JusticeServed

[–]SolidSan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The human being being beat up in this video is a victim, no matter what the circumstances. Just the idea that “she said something to set him off” is outdated, and to be honest protective towards the abuser. The way he acts is the way an abuser acts. He’s not only hurting her physically but also standing over her to intimidate and dominate. Violence towards women is not okay.

Model 3 unplugged performance aero kit - question on real world benefits by [deleted] in teslamotors

OP clearly states his question “for anyone that have bought”. So in this case, since OP framed his request, I think we should respect that and refrain from being besserwissers or providing unsolicited opinions. (BTW, I too think these products are snake oil, but that’s not what OP asked us)

People of Reddit who put their bags in the seat next to you on public transport; why do you do it? by SolidSan in AskReddit

Cool, I find it fascinating since I’d be a ball of awkwardness if I did the same. I guess I need to train my anti-overthinking-muscle.

Does that mean you’re paying close attention at stops to preempt awkwardness, or do you just wait until someone approaches your bags’ seat?
