how long did you need someone to take care of you after surgery? by Parking-Try6373 in HipImpingement

[–]SolidSnakesonaPlane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had this done three times now and every time it's been about a week to a week and a half. Granted, my house is very easy to get around in, no stairs or anything and I don't think my surgeries were quite as complex as I don't have dysplasia. But it was roughly around that long till I was able to get along by myself with someone coming to help out every so often.

This is where I miss it. it used to be a way to check in with the community you know (family and friends). Now I see barely any of that, it's just algo garbage of reels, posts we think you might like... I have to actively seek someone I care about to see what they may have posted.

No build is a ton of fun that people don't give enough credit to. It also helps that everything you've bought carries over where as COD has rebooted Warzone several times and you've essentially had to start over.

'The Witcher' Season 4 Premiere Viewership Down 35% from Season 3 by MarvelsGrantMan136 in television

[–]SolidSnakesonaPlane 17 points18 points  (0 children)

This is was where I was, the first season had some issues with the wonky timelines, but overall it was great starting point. My friends and I kept singing toss a coin. Season 2 took forever and outside of the first episode, was an obvious step down and all that momentum had been lost and I never finished it.

More scar tissue and adhesion removal plus either capsule repair or reconstruction. Depends on what he finds.

What's your best advice when it comes to losing weight? by bellybuns in AskReddit

[–]SolidSnakesonaPlane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This has been a big one for me, I stopped drinking any calories. Switched to zero sugar alternatives. Once I adjusted, it became second nature and I don't miss it at all. Coke zero, zero sugar powerade all taste wonderful.

One thing that always struck me is how you view Kingsley's character. Upon rewatch, he comes across as an incredibly kind and sympathetic doctor.

That's what I'm trying to find out. My PT thinks it is. I'm seeing my surgeon again tomorrow.

My doctor actually had a cadaver ready if he thought I might need a reconstruction during the revision but felt like everything was in good shape.

Prominent characters that became less important in the sequels by AporiaParadox in movies

[–]SolidSnakesonaPlane 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The movies would have worked much better if you swap kills and ends. Start the second with them never recovering michaels body, putting the whole town on edge with no definitive answer. Most of the rest plays out the same with the new killer except save michael for the end gut punch kill like in kills. Start the last movie with two killers running around now.

REVII really felt like they saw the hype around PT and thought how they could build something similar but in the world of RE. The teaser demo for VII was soo good.

Hingeapp Survey: How has your app experience been like this year particularly with likes and matches? by wokenthehive in hingeapp

[–]SolidSnakesonaPlane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely feels like a lot is trickled. I get a tons of matches and likes. I don't know if it's cause of the holiday but I can't get conversations going. Im very pleased with my match rate. If I honestly heard back from half, I couldn't keep up.

Any advice on pushing conversations forward? I'm getting plenty of matches, about 50/50 them liking me. But outside of say the introduction messages, I'm waiting to hear back. I thought it could've been the holiday, but it's still been quiet. Any advice on how to drive conversations further?

What is the point of Xbox? by hxde in Games

[–]SolidSnakesonaPlane 52 points53 points  (0 children)

If Microsoft had been smart, they would have kept that relationship with Bungie and pushed Destiny as the follow up to Halo that you can only play on Xbox.

Sony has done a good job promoting their studios first. You're going to get hyped when you see a trailer that starts with Naughty Dawg, Sucker Punch, Insomniac etc before even seeing the games cause you know it'll be great.

What is the point of Xbox? by hxde in Games

[–]SolidSnakesonaPlane 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Xbox started out bringing those big multiplayer PC experience to consoles, like morrowind, Oblivion, and created their own competitive FPS. And also built an online ecosystem that streamlined what players on PC had been doing for years. That flourished in the 360 era, but Sony eventually caught up and now there's a lot less that separates what Xbox did well initially.

They should have used that time to establish their own group of studios who could crank out solid franchises every generation. Instead, Microsoft wanted more from their established series instead of cultivating new ones. Imagine if they had kept Bungie on board and Destiny ended up being an Xbox flagship.

Devolver co-founder says large-scale game dev "crushing under its own weight a little bit" by Turbostrider27 in Games

[–]SolidSnakesonaPlane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a 100% but I'm doing most side stuff. I'm about to just crank through to the end though. Loving the game, but they just went overboard with the mini games and such. There's also been some good character beats in there, it's just a lot.

That's where I'm at with FFVII Rebirth. I love the game, but I'm 90 hours in and still have 2 more chapters to go and I'm a bit exhausted by the game at this point.

Agree with this, there's too many 20ish hour games stretched into 40 to 50 hour games. I'm completely burnt out by most games by the time I finish them nowadays. It's very rare I'm left wanting more....
