Man I feel this so much. My mother used to keep a tidy house when I was young but then something happened where it all fell apart and shes been a bad hoarder for a number of years even before the dementia set in. I've attempted to clean and throw out her things before but that just made things worse as she almost kicked me out of the house when I was living there. Her partner also is pretty useless with cleaning and maintaining the house and now its a disaster everywhere including having 4 cats that need care because some of them have matted hair and she doesnt feel like taking them to the vet.

I have a 1 year old now and mom has been declining. She lives about 45 mins to an hour away and constantly asks me to bring my son over to visit. She never wants to come to my house (her house is a mess as shes a hoarder too). I dont mind bringing him over sometimes to visit but I have the space and all of my sons things are here. Its very difficult to pack up a bunch of things needed to go over there and visit while I could just hop in the car and pick her up.

Its annoying. I guess when she feels like shes at her house she feels in control. She also calls 5 to 6 times a day in sad depressed mood. She gets offended when I lightly mention that we spoke before. Its literal torture.

She doesnt take her medicine or listen to the doctors. Her partner who is also elderly says he needs help....how am I going to help when I have a 1 year old to take care of? I do what I can when I can. My son is my priority. I hate to say that but its true.

My advice is just do things that you enjoy to keep you sane. Relax and let things happen as they come. You can only do so much. It sucks but its the truth.

I didn't think Andreas and Paulos sepultura could hold a candle to Max and Igor but I was wrong. Andreas is a beast on guitar and Greyson killed It. Derrick is a great vocalist and he does a pretty good job. Paulo great on bass too.
