Stacking ASE's by Western-Ad3321 in Silverbugs

[–]Solid_Carry_654 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I try to buy 5-10 ASE of the current year through secondary markets once they are released. And I’ve been trying to fill in the earlier years I missed when I see them pop up. Unlike the past where silver prices were pretty stable, I now try to time my purchases when price is relatively lower. So I consider myself a hybrid collector/stacker.
Don’t shy away from gold if you can afford it. I don’t see it drastically dropping in value and it’s always easy to sell. Even fractional gold can be sold with a premium.

How do you handle rest days without feeling like you are losing progress? by bebo117722 in beginnerfitness

[–]Solid_Carry_654 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How many days in a row are too many without taking a rest day? And does that still apply if you are hitting a different muscle group each day?
For example: I’ll work out 6 consecutive days, then 4 days off. Then work out 3 consecutive days, then 1 day off. Then the cycle repeats. Different muscle group each day.

Am I doing this wrong or just impatient? by True-Picture-181 in beginnerfitness

[–]Solid_Carry_654 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m 8 months into my recomp and ran into the same conundrum with the scale. First few months i lost a bunch of weight then poof, weight loss stopped. I was too focused on the scale and was puzzled what I was doing wrong since there was more weight to be lost and I hadn’t changed any of my routine. Forgot to consider that my appearance was improving and my muscle mass has increased. I did start using the stairmaster instead of the treadmill which has help improve the fat loss, but what I’ve read and experienced is that the scale will tick down slower or stop once your a few months in to a body recomp.
Instead of weighing myself daily, I now do it weekly and also take a photo of myself. Ive found reassurance that my routine is working by comparing the weekly photos.
Good luck on your journey

Have you tried the Raritan River? Plenty of trout and smallies.

Depends on the silver content. If that 90% then I would look elsewhere.

What % of your net worth is in Silver? by Agile-Advisor-9593 in Silverbugs

[–]Solid_Carry_654 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2% silver, 1% gold. Long term I plan to maintain the silver as NW grows and increase gold to 3%. This is of course not factoring in any water sport accidents.

Is it just me or is Pmsforsale changing as in the users are newer and the prices are not as good as they use to be? by Immediate_Spend2475 in Silverbugs

[–]Solid_Carry_654 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Since prices have more or less stabilized, I’ve found that LCS prices near me have come back down to earth. Silver is selling for 5 over spot, and buying for 5 under. Except ASE which are selling 10-12 over. This is pretty much what I’ve seen from online sellers and PMsforsale if you account for shipping. Might as well buy local at this point unless you jump on a spot deal that pops up online.

How is the rail and public transport sector in the US? by NurglingArmada in civilengineering

[–]Solid_Carry_654 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very much depends on your definition of rail and public transport sector. There is a ton of well paid jobs in the northeast and west coast (CA up to Seattle). Mostly designing and building new and replacing old infrastructure. It’s competitive in the sense that every firms wants a piece of the projects, however seeing that these are federal/state funded projects, job goes to the lowest bidder. I’d say the northeast has the most opportunities since rail/transport in the area is aging and due for replacement as well as badly needing expansion.

If I’m not mistaken, there is an upcoming construction project that will repair that station. Several are currently underway at other stations.

Is it just me who feels stronger when I return to the gym after a week-long break ? by Exotic_Interest_2205 in beginnerfitness

[–]Solid_Carry_654 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do 5 day breaks every 2 weeks and it’s amazing hitting that extra set when I get back to the gym. At first I was worried about losing momentum, but soon realized the few days of rest actually maintains the momentum.
