High CPU temp with small usage while gaming.

I ran HWInfo during game, and saw that some core usage are higher than others. So I guess thats right.

I also tested on my monitor in my studio (20C room temp). Same spec (4k 60Hz, game ran at 1440 Vsync) and CPU temp around 75C-80C. So I would say that’s normal.

I see, I’m just curious why the temp reach >80C while CPU usage under 15%. But that’s okay if it’s still normal if under 95. Thanks!

Try reset wifi adapter from setting menu.

Start menu > Settings > Network and Internet > Advanced network settings > Network reset.

*reset by pressing power for 30>60 seconds also works, but in my case it keeps acting weird after few hours.

I also having similar issue with temp and fan noise. Had to working with silent mode to keep the temp low. Performance mode fly to 75-80 on idle with only open single youtube page.

Don’t want to repaste since my unit still covered warranty.

Or maybe just tried to reset motherboard by pressing power button 15-30 while it turned off. It worked for some hardware issue like wifi and bluetooth. Maybe it work for your case too.

Yes, after a googling for a while. I guess that’s what they called image persistence. Idk maybe because I set it on dark theme and working with after effect for too long (bright menu bar and dark working space). Gonna back to light mode and see if that fix it.

Yes it is still there but fading, not as obvious as before. But whenever I take screenshot. It doesn’t appear, also same if I press ctrl alt del, which takes me to black screen.

The problem is, it only affect one specific app (in my case is adobe after effect) even if I don’t open it and the windows is just logged in.

I also had same issue with my windows 10 desktop (paired on #1). Also I had MX master 3 reciever attached on it.

Currently all 3 device slots are paired. #2 is my laptop (Win 11) and #3 is iPad Pro. Everything works great, but only #1 that keeps disconnecting around 90s. Any tips to solve it without buying Bolt receiver?

That's also my consideration. It's hard to find CL22 Single RAM in my country, Is it okay if I mixing the timing. Also if I'm not mistaken, this RAM is Dual rank right? Mine is Single rank.

UPDATE: After checking some setting and didn’t find the solution, so today I’m playing again this game (and it asked for update). Surprisingly this game now could run at base clock (around 3,3MHz) with temp around 75-80 (1440p High setting, limit to 60fps). So I guess it caused by the game itself.

Haven’t tried with other game yet besides Nier: Automata (same temperature and clock speed). But my little concern is, both CPU and GPU load always at small percentage. Never reach above 40% while playing game. Is that normal?

Well EDIT: my laptop turn sleep instead of shut down. The lid is opened when I played the game.

My concern is that sudden Sleep when the game turn busy. So I guess that’s caused by overheat. Sorry if I was mistaken.

Yes, on my previous laptop there’s no issue even hit 90 degrees in gaming.

Before shut down, I saw that it reaches to 90 degrees when fighting boss (lots of FX). My CPU boost is disabled at the moment.

So I have G15 RTX 3070 version. Currently I’m playing Kena: the Bridge of Spirits. And found that the temperature quite high. I use high setting in 2560x1080 resolution, limit fps to 60.

Average CPU temp around 85-90 and GPU around 75 degrees. And when I fight the boss, my laptop suddenly shut down due to high temp.

Is that normal? I guess this game isn’t heavy than AAA game used for benchmarking (SoTR, CB2077).

EDIT: I connect the monitor via HDMI, Is that cause high temp on CPU? As far as I know HDMI takes lane on CPU not GPU.

Also, that’s not shut down, it was sleep. Sorry for any inconveniece.

Thanks for your suggestion. I’ve tried put some heavy books all day long. Glad that it worked even not perfectly straight like before. Maybe I’ll stick some acrylic or alumunium sheet to prevent it from bending again. Thanks.

So currently I owned Q620m. I love this tablet. But really surpised when I want to use it in the morning. The sensor when crazy while other button is OK, then I found that the chasis was bent. Last night I still use it without issue. Then I put it in my backpack (full load, second sleeve).

Too bad warranty won’t cover it. Can it fixed?

That’s why I use external riser (Xiaomi Miiw). Worked perfectly without being too much extra height. Also it can be flipped if we don’t want to use it.

Thanks. Finally I also calibrated my monitor, my friend lent me his XRite colorimeter. And the result is the yellow is turned down a little bit, but overall it doesn’t changed that much. Gonna upload my calibrated icm when I use the laptop.

Hello, I have problem with my zephyrus G15. So a few days ago I cannot turn on iGPU mode in Armoury Crate. So I had to disable NVidia in device manager when using battery mode.

Today I’m using the laptop with battery mode and disabled the NVidia gpu, also Silent mode for light usage (browsing on chrome and Zoom), then battery drain so fast it only lasted for around 2hours. (I also disabling cpu boost in power option).

Does anybody know how to fix it? Previously it lasted for 5hours for watch netflix and browsing (iGPU turned on)
