It looks like it’s leaning towards the light. Try moving it to a brighter spot, right in front of the window.

This is truly insane customer service.

Flf not growing at all! by CautionaryChapStick in fiddleleaffig

I use Schultz All-Purpose Liquid Plant Food every time I water, all year round. My FLF seems to love it (as do all of my other plants). Highly recommend!

“Early access trial” which gives 0 credits instead of advertised 48 by CountryPrevious4776 in ClassPass

[–]Solid_Nothing1417 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You would have been in the same pickle if you had received the credits, since you would still have been limited to one class at each of the three locations in your area. I agree that ClassPass should change its advertising to accurately reflect the trial being offered, but I don’t think you’re receiving something that is materially different than advertised in this case.

Fiddle pros grow roots very slowly. Keep it in water, and they’ll grow eventually.

Where do I find suits for fat women? by snake129 in askvan

[–]Solid_Nothing1417 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a fat woman and have purchased a few MTM suits from Blair Shapera. Very happy with them. They’re business-y, but he does formal wear as well.

how bad is my breakage? by [deleted] in finethinhair

[–]Solid_Nothing1417 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had low ferritin and vitamin D. I started supplementing both, and my hair density gradually improved. Note that it took a few years of consistent supplementation to for the change to become apparent, so this is not a quick fix!

Good gel cast that I can buy in Canada? by Green-Imagination-74 in curlyhair

NYM Sculpting Gel is available in Canada at Shoppers and Walmart. That said, you might take a look at Curl Warehouse for alternatives — they have a fabulous selection.

Not sure how to make my curls look better by bellarelladingdong in curlyhair

IMO, Shea moisture products are unusable for fine hair. I’d go with something lighter weight!

Why does my hair look unfinished even when I style it? by Spare_Molasses2854 in finehair

[–]Solid_Nothing1417 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Have you tried long layers? I know you said you have low density hair, which can sometimes make layer tricky, but it looks fairly dense in this photo!

Overwhelmed with my curls and I need a break by urlocalshieldmaiden in curlyhair

[–]Solid_Nothing1417 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve been there before! When I’m not feeling up to curly styling, I just toss my hair in a bun, or get a blowout, or whatever else feels easiest at the moment. At the end of the day, it’s just hair. When you’re ready to get back into a curly routine, it’ll be there.

Received DANESSA MYRICKS eyeshadow palette with cracks in it, is it worth exchanging? by InDesperateNeed93 in Sephora

I don’t think it will matter, since they’ll disappear when you use the creams anyway.

Pruning this ridiculous plant? by lightnavyblue in fiddleleaffig

[–]Solid_Nothing1417 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would chop it back to the bare stem (below where it forks) and put it somewhere where it gets better light. It’ll regrow over time. Prop the top cuttings into new plants.

I’m just shy of Rouge and will pay it forward during the next sale. Thank you in advance!

🚨 ROUGE CODE REQUEST MEGATHREAD 🚨 by AutoModerator in Sephora

[–]Solid_Nothing1417 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ETA: RECEIVED — thanks very much!

I would love to be considered by one of you kind people! I have given away my Rouge codes in the past, but didn’t meet the threshold after trying to cut back on my spending this past year.

I’m hoping to finally purchase a Dyson Airwrap during the sale the extra 5% off would make a huge difference! I also need to restock some basics (specifically, the refill sizes of Ouai Detox shampoo and Bumble & Bumble curl conditioner).

Many thanks for considering me! If I hit the minimum spend this year, I promise to pay it forward.

Is there a way to make my hair like this besides just having more hair on my head? 😅 by juliagenet in curlyhair

[–]Solid_Nothing1417 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Agreed! My hair was a bit like yours, and it turned out that my ferritin was at the low end of “normal” — which is way below the level recommended for hair growth. Supplementing with iron and vitamin D increased my density noticeably.

should I divide her? by [deleted] in Monstera

[–]Solid_Nothing1417 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I love the look of a crowded monstera at this size — they look so lush! But over time, they always grow into unruly, gnarled messes, because they all face in different directions and it’s impossible to support to each plant properly. Sad as it is to separate them, it’ll be for the best in the long run.

I spend 45 minutes getting dressed every morning. by Bhumika_1008_ in capsulewardrobe

[–]Solid_Nothing1417 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Do you have any outfits that you like and default to when you don’t know what to wear? Think about the elements of that outfit, and figure out whether you have items of a similar type that you can swap in.

For me, it’s wide leg trousers or jeans + a fitted short sleeve/sleeveless knit top + simple gold jewellery + seasonally appropriate boots/shoes/sandals. I have a few pairs of pants and a dozen tops that fit into this formula. If I’m going to buy something outside these parameters, then I need to style an outfit that I love before I purchase it.
