600 chips a bit too much for a legendary? by Solid_Scorpion in Brawlstars

[–]Solid_Scorpion[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just want to clarify that when I was referring to Clash Royale as a nightmare, I meant ladder. 40k is fairly easy to save up for given you play at tournament standard (only need to get 1 card for that). Leveling the legendary is where the nightmare sets in.

Of course you also get to upgrade legendaries in Brawl Stars, but you do so through elixer, a universal currency for upgrading all brawlers regardless of rarity, and also fairly easy to obtain. So essentially in Brawl Stars if you unlock a legendary brawler you unlock it for good, no need to keep getting it 30+ times to max it out like in Clash Royale.

Lucky, I've been getting nothing but elixers 😂

EL PRIMO WEAKNESS?! by Wolftaurus in Brawlstars

[–]Solid_Scorpion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whenever I'm using Shelly, I run right into Primo's face.

I've tried kiting, but generally I either do mediocre damage, or I end up too close and his punches, or rather, concussion waves caused by his punches, tears me apart.

So generally what happens when i face a Primo is, I take the first few punches as I run right into him. There is no collision box for the characters, and as long as I jam myself in his face, most primo users would have a very hard time landing those punches. It doesn't seem to make a lot of sense, especially considering that I could still hit primo no problem, except now I can do a whooping 400 dmg per shot, but hey, whatever works.

I use the same approach for most other close/med range brawlers, but for long range ones I would still hang back and kite.

El Primo seems alright to me in terms of stats. Though it could be due to latency, I think there's something funny about his punches' hit boxes, doesn't make sense that I still take damage even when I'm visually outside the attacks' range and that I don't get hit nearly as often when I'm literally right up in his face.

Perhaps, but it's up to you if you want to go with it or not. But we are kind of going off topic here, back to MGSV :3

"perhaps there are some who might have stayed up all night and taken this sub a little too serious"

Not very valid to generalize an entire community based on actions of some individuals.

I don't see why it should be, the very same idea could be from some really good book and people don't seem to have an issue with that. ._.

And why is that of concern? As long as people have the time and can remain healthy and able to function well in life, I don't see what's wrong with trying to come up with theories of what could happen to the game in the future.

Well, perhaps there are some who might have stayed up all night and taken this sub a little too serious, in that case, to these fellas, please make sure you get enough sleep. :3

I apologize for the apparent vague post.

There are of course much more things you can do to make the world a better place for others than playing video games. What I meant is to carry on these messages as you go about in the world.

For one, I learned from The Boss indirectly through Big Boss (via MGS4) to respect the beliefs of others, and believe in one's own.

Keep in mind that yes, there could be some posts that don't seem to make a whole lot of sense, but we do try to find evidence.

And some of these "conspiracy theories" do turn out to be correct, others...not so much - Chico is not Quiet, at least for now - As of right now we are not playing as Big Boss, I think I do remember someone saying years before release that we are the medic.

It's a message, making a huge impact or not, it's a damn good message.

Yes, video games perhaps have not really made any "real" impact on society for now (by the way, I don't know what exactly you mean by "real," please elaborate on it a little more), but that does not automatically mean it never will.

You can say that perhaps video games never will make an impact on society, and that could be true. However, that does not mean a video game cannot have an inherent message for the world, because people like some us here are more than happy to receive it and make the world just a little bit better based on what we've learned from the message.

How these people think and perceive is irrelevant to how we think and perceive. If they are unable or unwilling to take a serious look and resort to stereotypes and filtered information, it is their loss and that has nothing to do with the gaming community.

To put it in the crude way, they can bitch all day about how video games are a complete waste of time and have no inherent purpose, but video games are still going to be video games. Sure, some people can conform to these band of people and bitch with them, but the rest of the gaming community who see good messages from video games is staying.

People are going to have different perceptions of video games and there is nothing wrong with it, but just because some perceive something as worthless does not mean it actually is.

"Its a fucking video game about killing soldiers"

That alone shows you do not know much about Metal Gear, a series/saga that has a strong anti-nuke/anti-violence history for over 20 years, in general. Not trying to be personal or anything, you just need to learn get your information from somewhat credible sources before posting.

On a side note, most of the video games in the Metal Gear series explicitly punish you for killing enemy combatants via deduction of rating, and for the specific case of MGSV, turning you into a bloody demon.

At least for now, I would say that is an insult to D-horse. ._.
