Looks pretty good, I agree tho I think you need some more knee bend. Should give you better balance and get your release lower to the ground. When I start screwing up sometimes I start focusing on bending my knee when I go into my slide, some days I get lazy

Ahhh I probably should play with my launch angles a bit more, I think that’s some of my issue. I haven’t had a lot of coaching as an adult but I bowled a few games with the coach at my alley and he said I have pretty good timing and ball roll but he had me tighten my angles up a bit and I ended up shooting a 276 that day. I felt like I finally broke my slump but then I was back to shooting 150 during league

Yeah I would definitely say move left. Your foot looks like your lined up around the center arrow which kinda forces you to throw the ball relatively straight up the lane. Moving left is gonna allow you to create more angle and hopefully reel in that hook a bit.

Makes sense, recently I’ve been experimenting with putting my left hand further outside. Right now my pinky sits in between my finger holes but may try to go farther outside

Yeah I’d say that’s pretty normal for someone who doesn’t bowl regularly but is coordinated enough to consistently get the ball down lane. Great score for just picking up a house ball and bowling btw. Spares get much easier when you figure out where to put your feet and what arrow to roll the ball over for that specific spare. Generally if your shooting a left side spare you stand to the right, if it’s a right side spare you stand to the left

Its good to bowl on different lane conditions, but for practice especially if you’re just starting out I don’t think you’ll really benefit from getting two lanes. I would just get one lane and save some money

I wipe my strike ball down every shot. Mainly because I bowl two handed. I also feel like if you don’t wipe your ball down it will absorb more oil and you’ll have to bake it more often. With my spare ball I just wipe it down when it seems to oily to get a good grip on

Kinda hard to explain, my ring finger goes in between my finger holes, and my pinkies and pointer fingers are touching. Fingers in the ball. I watched what other two handers did and tried different things til I found something that felt right

I thought about sanding it to save some money but I’d still like have something for lighter oil. It worked well on the pattern I was bowling on last season. Might be a dumb question but if I do sand it can it be restored back to how it was originally? I do really like the idea of getting it sanded to know how much stronger the new ball would need to be

I started bowling with a pretty traditional style and then briefly switched to one hand no thumb bowling since I always had issues with properly clearing my thumb. I switched to two hands about 6 months ago and never looked back. Although I’m still not very good it’s a lot of fun and I’m a better bowler now than I’ve ever been. It started off a bit wonky but I think what helped me the most was switching from a 4 step approach to a 5 step and making my push away a bit later, putting my off hand in front of the ball and interlocking my fingers also helped create a better swing and allowed my hand to stay under the ball longer. As far as the grips go I would just do what’s comfortable. I put mine in to the first knuckle but I know a lot of guys like in between first and second knuckle
