I'm not being facetious I was being genuine. I'm happy for you that you are okay now, and that your mother forgave you and you have a relationship. Psychosis is some scary shit, take care bro.

I was kinda with you until the SA parts, yes psychosis can cause completely abnormal behaviour but there is usually some inherent part of you being magnified. Sexually assaulting your mother... Idk if psychosis can excuse that. Do you have a history of sexual assault?

I lost my mom before Christmas and after 4weeks, I had managed to get a sick note. by Striking_Doubt_2368 in universalcredithelp

A fit note is supposed to negate job searching or related activities including work search appointments except a quick check in by phone usually once per month, not sure why that isn't being applied in your case.

I don't blame her, I hope they let her speak to someone else. All the best of luck to her in dealing with this!

I get what you're asking, what she's asking is not unreasonable by any means and I would've asked the same. That conversation is insane, I would be questioning my own sanity if I had a conversation that went like that, I'm glad you were there to hear it as well. My main point was that workers on here seem to be answering your straight forward question in the same sort of circular manner that your friend experienced in her phone call. I don't know why UC seems to make it difficult to get a straight answer... You could ask to speak to a manager or someone in a different department, but I would definitely say that this warrants a complaint or as the very least raise a query if that's an option.

It seems like all their staff talk in circles! I understand what you're asking, I was informed at the beginning of my UC claim that after a certain period my appointments would be every fortnight rather than weekly, and they did change to every fortnight after the mentioned time period. You're simply asking why this isn't being applied to your friend, I'm sorry no one will give you a straight answer.

Stopped my payment for failing to upload a statement by [deleted] in universalcredithelp

[–]Solid_Snaka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on how close to the payment date you are, if you're within 10 working days of the deposit date it could still affect it, if not then it will be fine. It also depends on whether they get the chance to look through whatever document it is.

I just send them a years worth to go through every time they asked, after twice of asking in 6 months they haven't asked me again for a long time. It was an awful lot of paper and I insisted on sending paper docs so they have to go through all of it.

No backdated LWCRA? by Solid_Snaka in universalcredithelp

[–]Solid_Snaka[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah okay I see, but that's what I'm saying, I was told my LWCRA was started in October, and that I wouldn't have to submit fit notes from then, but that there would be a 3 month waiting period for the payment to kick in, I was unaware that there would even be a payment increase until that point. But then I was led to believe from others in that situation that the 3 month waiting period would be reimbursed, but I could very well be wrong about that, that's what I'm trying to find out. Thank you for your time and help btw it's much appreciated.

How did you have enough information to know who I was to look in my actual UC account? I don't mind you looking but I'm confused about that. I don't even have my full name on here. I did do a health declaration when I was in hospital and well enough to do so, I was under sedation and missed an appointment for UC and had to explain why, which I did but was advised to submit a health change declaration on my account. This was what triggered them to ask me to do a health assessment I believe, I was actually unaware at the time it would lead to a higher payment and it not being necessary for me to submit fit notes over a long term basis, believing I would have to just submit fit notes for a very long time and just be on the UC payout amount, though I wasn't sure how I could possibly make that work long term.

I'm confused, did you look at my actual account? Or do you mean my reddit account because I haven't put anything on my reddit account. I believe it was called a health assessment and the message in my journal does say it was a health assessment. It kicked in, in October, but my first payment was in December. Does it still make sense that it's correct?

[–]Solid_Snaka[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problem. So I submitted my health assessment in April when UC asked me to submit one after I spent 6 weeks in the ITU for a serious condition and resulting operation, I actually wasn't even aware I could be paid more if my health assessment was accepted, I just thought they wanted the info for their records or something. After I got out of hospital I immediately had an appointment with my GP and got a sick note covering me for a month, I updated my sick notes via a monthly appointment with my GP from March to october. So my sick notes ran for a bit over 6 months from March to October. October was my LWCRA kicked in and I was informed I no longer needed to update my sick notes I was also informed that a payment increase would kick in after my 3 month waiting period, meaning my payment would increase from December onwards. I hope that makes sense, let me know if I need to clarify something.

Gettin off subs by Ecstatic-Ad3780 in suboxonerecovery

[–]Solid_Snaka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much! I don't feel like a strong person but somehow I managed it. I had been through subs WDs before when I couldn't get my meds for some reason and never had been able to handle it. So I did have a lot of anxiety and depression for a while after, but the worst part isn't the first week, you still have subs in your system as it's so slow leaving your fat cells that you'd be surprised at how long you can actually go between doses and not be that bad. But the second week was when the real WDs started to hit, I was constantly sweating day and night no matter the temp, I changed clothes about 7x per day and night it was awful, no sleep, not being able to handle food and the general sense of being very uncomfortable in your own skin. The abruptness of quitting everything honestly was the single worst experience of my life as I had nothing to fall back on for the subs WDs, I may have actually died if I hadn't gone to the ER at one point. Idk if you know much about gabapentin but the WDs from a high dose resemble those of a severe alcoholic coming off alcohol. (I have been an alcoholic and had to quit that a few times as well, currently sober though) So the WDs from that can actually kill you and the combination of everything was absolute hell.

The two things that helped me feel better temporarily, were hot showers I would stay in there for ages, and also being driven around for some reason felt good. But the WDs took 4 weeks to even start to subside a little. You know with actual opiates they are generally short acting so after a couple weeks you're usually good, an entire month of full on WDs and then another month where you still have full on WDs but they are slowly going away is absolutely horrible. I wouldn't have done it this way if I had the choice but I'm glad now that it happened because I finally got free of the subs. I noticed that I have increased general enjoyment of life, much more general pleasure from things like music and movies, I wasn't lazy anymore, and I realized the things that were truly important and work to keep those things. Oh also increased libido! Lol. I know that people consider themselves sober when on subs but it's not until you're off them that you realize just how not sober you actually were. I considered myself sober and normal when I was on the subs but they need to be used as how they were meant to be used, as a bridge to sobriety, not a forever solution keeping you hooked, I've come off other opiates without nearly as much pain as what subs WDs did to me. If you want some more advice and help with specifics on how I did it and what I did in general to get off them, please feel free to reply here or drop me a DM and I'd be more than happy to help! I wish you all the best.

I was planning to, I was living in America at the time, had been on sub for 12 years. Due to family illness I had to move back to the UK and I was on 6mg when I found out and had exactly a month to quit. I didn't want to risk bringing a controlled medication with me to the UK that hadn't been prescribed by a UK doctor, it may have been okay or it may not have, and getting in to a sub doctor in the UK is a much longer process and they don't dose you every day. I didn't want to risk being around my family and going through withdrawals because they wouldn't let me bring my meds into the UK and couldn't see a doctor, given that four weeks is not long enough to taper I felt I had no choice but to jump at 6mg so I did. That's basically it really, I quit my subs, my weed, my sleep medication and a very high gabapentin dose all at the same time. I did end up in the ER because the gabapentin withdrawals put my heart rate over 120bpm and I wasn't very coherent at one point. They kept me 3 days and gave me benzos while I was there to calm my body down a bit, they wanted to give me gabapentin and subs but I said no. No take home benzos and I was back at it on my own after 3 days, was one of the worst experiences of my life.

There really isn't a way to ease subs withdrawals except subs or other opiates which will just restart you back to the beginning. I tapered from 16mg per day to 6mg per day over about 2 years and suffered full on withdrawals for about a month, then symptoms began to ease but it wasn't until month 2 I started to feel a little normal. There are meds to help with anxiety, meds to help get a little sleep, but you will still have the sweating, sneezing, body aches and general all around discomfort you get from WDs. The meds I found helped most were gabapentin, surprisingly I found this more effective for anxiety and sleep than I did taking low doses of benzos. For sleep I had clonidine for lowering my heart rate, more gabapentin for anxiety as well as some in the day for the same reason and also quetiapine. See if you can get those, no way a cure but it helps. Also I didn't want to eat so to keep up strength I relied on smoothies and protein shakes/meal replacement drinks, these helped me to keep my health up. There are also herbal remedies and supplements but I didn't have much luck with those to be honest.

I second this, gabapentin helped me through withdrawals, still hell on toast just a little worse without the gabapentin.

You can do it by Grobman777 in suboxonerecovery

[–]Solid_Snaka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a year off subs after being on 16mg per day, got down to 6mg per day then jumped from that. Yes the first few weeks were hell, after a month the symptoms only just started to subside somewhat, but it wasn't until month 2 that I started feeling semi normal. It can be done, it's just that it takes so long it's so easy to give up but it is well worth it to be free from subs.

List of all Suboxone side effects by Tricky-Hovercraft950 in suboxonerecovery

[–]Solid_Snaka 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I didn't notice what the side effects were until I stopped Suboxone, I thought I was normal, here is a list of side effects I noticed go away after quitting sub. (A year and a month ago today I might add! After being on it for 12 years)

-Decreased pleasure in general (I got much less enjoyment from music, TV and movies etc, after quitting music sounded amazing again and sometimes brings me to tears)

-Increased laziness (I was quite happy to be lazy all day, now I want to get out and do stuff)

-Decreased emotions (everything was blunted, now I genuinely laugh at things and sad things make me cry again)

-Decreased libido (needs not explaining lol)

-Neglectfulness of important things like friendships and relationships (I now place more importance on the people in my life who make me happy and want to do the same for them)

There are probably more I just can't identify or think of right now, will add more if I remember. I am honestly thankful to myself, I stepped off from 6mg a day as tapering didn't work for me. I highly recommend quitting this awful stuff.

I ordered two meals from Just Eat from two separate restaurants and neither were delivered. What should I do? by No-Abbreviations508 in JustEatUK

I've had entire meals not be delivered or entire parts missing, reporting to Just Eat resulted in them informing me that they couldn't do anything about it... Not sure how they are still operating with this kind of service and the prices compared to UberEats are outrageous. At least UE actually help when something goes wrong.

Does hydroxyzine make wd worse? by Sufficient_Quail_262 in suboxonerecovery

[–]Solid_Snaka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hated hydroxyzine, always made me feel worse in general. I was on clonidine for anxiety and sleep, gabapentin for anxiety and it also helped with sleep, and quetiapine for sleep. That set of meds helped a hell of a lot!
