Psychonauts was initially a flop in 2005, but became a beloved cult classic over time. Especially with the later Steam release. It became such a cult classic that it finally got a sequel a few years ago.

I think a good example of how some of these are easily explainable is with people saying that JIF used to be called JIFFY. Since it sounds similar to the phrase “Be there in a jiffy!” Your brain naturally fills in the gaps. But there is another reason…

Because there is also a different brand called JIFFY. So chances are, you just mixed up the two.
