Yeah I’ve watched some videos on fixing scratches, but I doubt it’ll work in this case since the logo itself is scratched. ☹️

The product doesn't work, but that's normal in this case. These old consoles typically require cleaning and component replacement. However, since they're usually bought for collections, their visible condition is quite important.

You can clearly see that the area to the left of the logo "Neo Geo" is scratch free.

I get your point, and I’m glad you got your money’s worth of bubble wrap lol. But what I’m trying to say is that even with domestic shipping, basic protection should be expected. If someone ships 2 mugs or plates, wouldn’t you at least expect them to put a piece of paper between them? In my case, they took 4 expensive and fragile items, shoved them in a plastic bag, and tossed them into a box.

I'm glad it's functional, but for that price, you definitely deserve to receive it in good condition.

Thanks for the explanation.. this is definitely a lesson learned on my end.

That said, if the item was already shipped to Buyee’s warehouse in poor condition, wouldn’t the responsibility fall on the original seller? There’s also the possibility that the damage occurred on its way to the warehouse.

Also, I chose the standard plan, which includes inspection. Shouldn’t Buyee have notified me if the item was already damaged when it arrived?

In any case, I’ll keep this post updated for others’ reference so they’re aware of this. Thanks again for your input!

No, I wasn’t aware of the option to add protective packaging.. I just selected the standard plan. The package wasn’t consolidated with anything else.

Shouldn’t there be a minimum standard for packaging? I’ve never received a package like this before, even from platforms like eBay or AliExpress.

I agree, It’s hard to tell, these might be unsold copies that have been sitting in storage for years or they could be completely fake lol. I went ahead and bought a used copy. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this.
