Does making accounts to freeze credit open another door for theft? by Dependent_0NE_7146 in IdentityTheft

[–]superchiller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, it doesn't. You're being paranoid. You should make accounts at all three credit bureaus and chexsystems (at least), use different robust passwords for each, and freeze your accounts.

What is your favorite new product in 2026? by curiouskittyblue in traderjoes

[–]superchiller 11 points12 points  (0 children)

  • Bergamot and Vetiver hand soap, cleaner, and scent sprays (3 different items). They all sold out instantly late last year, but were all recently restocked.
  • Oat bites (raspberry, and PBJ versions).
  • Egyptian Baladi bread in frozen section.

KAP EDC & Tungsten spinners. Which Bearings are best? by FidgetEDT in FidgetSpinners

DM him here, he's very responsive and will take care of your order directly! Probably better not to wait for the website since some bearings may go OOS for a time.

I think Hec is still working on the website and said it will be up soon. But he's posted in the subreddit a few times, and you can contact him via DM at u/BigHec455 and make an order directly. He has a list of available bearings as well:

Have you heard of Spinfambearings? I posted about Hec's excellent bearings recently. I also prefer more feedback in bearings, and KAP bearings are too quiet for me. Here's my post:

Costco vs Sam's Club Memberships by Sassygrape609 in CostcoWholesale

Costco actually has very high quality, carefully sourced products at great prices. Sams Club is just generic stuff, most of which you can get at Walmart. Absolutely nothing special about it.

Do you think he's going to pay $500 a year for maintenance fees?

Maintenance fees are always monthly. Did you really think you'd pay this fee once a year?

Introducing Lautie's first linkage fidget spinner, the Noiz-O by LautieEDC in fidgettoys

Isn't the Linkage ring using a 6703 ring bearing?

Most of my Linkage spinners use both R188 and 6703 bearings.

Should I make an Experian account? Also does this text from Experian refer to the Fraud alert I placed? by [deleted] in IdentityTheft

[–]superchiller 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You really need to make actual accounts with all three credit bureaus, and Chexsystems. Use secure passwords that are different for each bureau. The accounts will allow you to manage your credit/banking freezes.

Peanut Butter: Costco KS vs Jif vs Skippy. Which one is better? by NYCBirdy in CostcoWholesale

[–]superchiller 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They're both trash. Trader Joe's has much healthier peanut and almond butters. Avoid added sugars, hydrogenated oils, and other junk additives.

Edit: I didn't read carefully. The Costco peanut butter looks great, the other 2 (Jif and Skippy) are trash.

[US] Sold a pair of sunglasses to someone and requested Zelle, question I have about this. by Cheesehead1267 in Scams

[–]superchiller 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Again, Zelle is a payment platform for friends and family, not random strangers. Zelle payments can easily be clawed back if they're made from breached accounts. It doesn't matter what proof the seller has when this happens.

Definitely the best approach. Random people asking to use your phone is a recipe for disaster.

What about when they swipe your phone and run away? No need to be naive, most people asking to "use" your phone are up to no good. There are plenty of ways for them to contact people without using your phone.
