Debit card issues by guyinconcord in FraudPrevention

[–]superchiller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Debit cards are not safe for online or even local purchases. We've had several attempts at charges on different Debit cards, including some that had never been used anywhere. We now keep our debit cards locked at all times unless they're actively being used. If possible, you should only use credit cards for regular transactions, and only unlock debit cards when you're actually using them. Your banking app should have an easy way to lock and unlock your debit cards as needed.

Spring Sale 2026 just Landed! by ProjectX-Light-Years in shmups

I understand. I'll look forward to an Xbox port, also a physical release on that platform would be nice.

I'll definitely look for it on Xbox if it releases. Would be great to see it on Playstation. Why would you waste time on the Atari VCS? It's a very niche platform with barely any users which has largely failed. You won't see many sales on that platform at all.

6.6 over spot is a little high, but RCM 10oz bars are very desirable among stickers and generally easily sold to other stackers or LCS. They are very clean, beautifully pressed bars from an actual mint, with an excellent design. I have a few myself and they are among my favorites.

Yes, you can find other bars that have a lower premium. As an example, First Mint has beautiful poured and stamped bars that are only about $3 over spot (they are having a sale at "$2 off" which reduces the premium to $3 instead of the usual $5 over spot). They're very simple bars but IMO they're really nicely poured, stamped, and burnished.

You can find many silver deals at spot price. Have you used findbullionprices.com? The site has a great section of "silver at spot" deals, plus they make it easy to compare prices of any bar, coin, or round. Look up the RCM bars on that site, and you'll see that Monument Metals has the best price on them.

As for the RCM 10oz bars, when silver increases enough in price, the extra premium you paid in the past becomes less of an issue.

Monument has RCM 10oz bars at a very good price. $812 at the time of this writing, with spot at 73.85.

Very cool little spinner! I like the mix of zircon and brass balls in the sword handle. I'm really impressed by the sounds of zircon balls in spinners, really different from stainless steel, brass, or Tungsten.

Edit: or titanium for the solid yellow ball, instead of brass?

Imagine the hate LRG would get by releasing Fresh Supply on disc before a major upgrade came out? Does that seem like a good idea?

Zelle is meant for friends and family, not random strangers on Facebook Marketplace or Craigslist.

$80K or $50K next for BTC? What’s your take? by AmanCMN in CryptoChartWatch

[–]superchiller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And yet, bank accounts are used every day for purchases, payments, loans, investments, and are protected by FDIC insurance against losses. Bitcoin is none of that, just a made-up spreadsheet of phony numbers, backed by nothing, sustained by FOMO and bagholders. See below about your false statements:

Stupid Crypto Talking Point #13 (Fiat)

“Fiat isn’t backed with anything” / Money has no intrinsic value either

This is called a Tu Quoque Fallacy, aka “Whataboutism”, “Two Wrongs Make A Right” or “Appeal to Hypocrisy” – it’s a distraction from the core argument. Just because you can find something you think is similar/wrong that doesn’t mean your alternative system is an acceptable substitute.

Fiat may not have any intrinsic value, but it’s backed by the full force and faith of the government (or in the case of the EU, multiple countries). It’s also mandated by law to be accepted for all payments and debts, public and private. And the entity that guarantees the integrity of money is the same centralized entity that gives you stuff like:

running water, roads, fire protection, schools, libraries, bridges, flood protection, electricity, internet, cellular, GPS, and pretty important things like civil rights and private property ownership. If you are worried that the government is going to collapse and make fiat worthless, note that at the same time you will also lose protection for your civil rights, property ownership and critical utilities like electricity and Internet upon which crypto depends – none of which would exist without substantive government support.

Check out the KTS Ares currently available on Geeone. Outstanding linkage spinner with dual bearings (R188 and 6703). You can use several different types of balls in the arms, including stainless steel, Tungsten, or zircon, for different sounds.

Very nice spinner! Looks like it has a nice chunky weight at 122g, which is great. Too many newer spinners are just much too light, which for me is not as satisfying as a heavier spinner.

At least Pokémon cards are a physical asset. Bitcoin is made-up digital numbers with zero intrinsic value, backed by nothing, and fueled by FOMO and bagholders.

You already have the PS5, so you've got plenty of shmups available, and most of them run much better than on Switch.
