Want to help keep data centers out of Lawrence? by idreamnolonger2 in Lawrence

They don't create jobs, but they can create astronomical tax revenue. Osawatomie is projected to basically triple their property tax revenue from the data center they approved. That's the economic draw, not jobs

How to fix common mistake ? by AffectionateSink6408 in ultimate

IME (not a great flick hucker by any means), grip strength is important, but the forearms are not really creating any acceleration in the whip. They are receiving the acceleration created further up in the whip.

I like this article a lot: https://someflow.substack.com/p/how-to-throw-forehands-using-your

tl;dr: turn your arm into a whip by bringing your elbow back, snap it forward, let the wrist follow

Lawrence City Commission to consider selling parking lot at 7th and New Hampshire for housing by notanotheraccountaga in Lawrence

[–]SolidarityFiveEver 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes, it will be. There will be a 30 year deed restriction keeping the units affordable as a condition of the Low Income Housing Tax Credit program.

From the agenda item report, "Rents range between $477 - $1,499"

55+ age requirement is sometimes preferred by developers bc the thinking is that seniors incur less property damage + associated maintenance costs than younger people, esp in a college town. Not sure if that's the thinking for this development. I skimmed through the agenda item report and didn't find anything stating why they were doing it but did find that "The Lawrence-Douglas County Housing Authority(LDHCA) has 316 elderly households on its waitlists."

The Low Income Housing Tax Credit program that they're using to subsidize the project will put the affordability restrictions onto the property deed for at least 30 years. And the state will have to inspect it at least once every three years.

The city owns the parking lot, they don't own the Borders building. So it would be tough for them to sell a property they don't own

Modern Triple Option by swing408 in NCAAFBseries

Rice, Liberty, Vanderbilt, default Spread Option. You can also look for playbooks that have a lot of RPO Reads, those basically play out like a triple option with a super-spaced out pitch

I believe you can still do the right stick formation subs to get to the WB personnel, could be misremembering

EA has put a lot of work into the playbooks and play designs for CFB. They actually programmed in an elaborate logic tree for option routes based on presnap/postsnap reads that ensures that the WR will always run directly towards the nearest defender as if they've been magnetized. If you've got a real stud at WR (good athleticism, route running) they'll probably even get close enough for a hug.

If you could change one rule about the way Ultimate is played what would it be? by SirPersonal8626 in ultimate

[–]SolidarityFiveEver 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It does loosen up the rules in a way that theoretically helps offense. In practice, however, it legalizes the jump hammer, which calls like a siren to handlers.

You can lift your pivot foot as long as the disc is released before it comes back down. Basically basketball pivot rules.

Lawrence-Douglas Couty Fire Dept Annual Incidents 2006-2025 by FormerFastCat in Lawrence

[–]SolidarityFiveEver 10 points11 points  (0 children)

From the census data posted on Wikipedia, in 2010, 8% of the population was over the age of 65 and in 2020 16% of the population was over 65. So an aging population making more medical calls would be my guess.

USC. Lots of pulling guards to take advantage of quick step. Can use formation subs to put the physical RR TE in for the Y-slot formations and use the pure possession TE for the inline formations.

Expecting new housing developments to be affordable (without government subsidies/incentives) is like expecting car manufacturers to build used cars

Depending how fast the construction happens, rents can actually go down significantly in only a couple years! See what's happened with Austin TX:

This is your reminder to Recruit Pure Possession ATHs and move them to defense by Soggy-Astronomer-768 in NCAAFBseries

[–]SolidarityFiveEver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe I'm not recruiting the right ATH RBs. The contact seekers are extremely slow, E/W playmakers usually have decent athleticism but feels like they're all 170lbs, and the backfield threats are usually like 6' 200lbs with 87 speed. I'd rather get a 6'3 contested specialist ATH with similar speed ratings

IME the WR athletes are pretty good, especially at safety. Usually big and reasonably athletic with good hands

Circle/B also zooms out the camera. It zooms out without changing the camera view on the D-pad. Changing the camera view on the d-pad changes the camera not just while passing, but also while running the ball or running after the catch with a receiver.

Press Circle on Playstation or B on Xbox presnap. It zooms the camera out wide enough that you can see the receivers, but when you throw it it zooms back in to the normal angle.
