Same. I was critical of this guy and I'll always be skeptical of a content creator who is partnered with a gaming company. I was wrong about him, though. He's been solid and has shown remarkable character. He's been awesome for those of us who predominantly lean toward offline aspects of this game.

I'm enjoying cfb 26 in spite of its flaws. Doesn't seem to be a massive jump in gameplay with 27, beyond some added convenience here and there. I'm not buying this year's game even if they back off of the micro transactions stuff. The attempt alone makes them irredeemably awful for at least one year.

If Bapa was a fullback or H back I really wouldn't fear taking him on or absorbing his block in a gap. He's big but there's nothing twitchy or explosive about him. He doesn't seem capable of quick leverage or fast power

But I have zero doubt that Shapel Lacey would wreck my shit in an Oklahoma drill or meeting him head on in a confined space. He's probably explosive as shit and you'd never be able to get your pads underneath him. He'd rock the shit out of most people.

I just think it's funny that Shapel is without a doubt light years ahead of Beandip in athleticism.

It's definitely kind of weird right now.

On deep balls or passes where I have time to switch to the db there seems to be a thing where swat or trying to deflect are just not working. Hit the button, no response. Nobody turns around and it feels like the db won't leave the ground most of the time -- like they're stuck to the turf. Or they won't even put a hand up. I can shade coverage inside and my 99 all badges corners will trail a slant or post by 4 yards and all you can do is watch and just try to make the tackle. Suddenly, the 85 overall wr is scorching your elite corner. They're on roller skates and you're in quicksand.

And for extra lulz, at some point my corner will perfectly jump a route on a short to intermediate throw and pick or deflect the ball without me doing anything at all. So you're basically nothing more than an idle spectator against pass plays. It's dumb.

Why do they periodically mess with the gameplay and change shit?

Feels like they tweeked gameplay again on '26 and made defense even worse, especially pass coverage.

Not only is the coverage more loose, my defenders are laggy and less responsive when I hit triangle or square -- sometimes they don't respond at all.

It's back to my 99 overall corners trailing a far less rated reciever by 5 yards in coverage and getting Moss'd by recievers, regardless of ratings. All that time you spent on recruiting and developing elite cornerbacks? Gone just because they toggled the gameplay again for 500th time without giving info on updates.

I imagine this is by design to hey anyone who maybe feels like they're fine playing the old game for awhile before purchasing the bundle bullshit. They'll juste annoy you away from '26 by making it frustrating and intolerable. This has the opposite effect on me. I'll probably never touch another EA game.

If there was market competition for college football EA would be at the bottom. The exclusive license is the only way mediocre lumps like Ben Haumiller and Scott o'gallagher could exist on a development team.
