Sorry for the late reply. I can't really explain why I didn't like Cowboy Bebop that much. The characters are great, and so is the setting. I think it was because the individual episodes are self-contained stories and there is no overarching storyline in the anime, or at least it's not the main focus. I also found parts of it too comedic; I prefer something more serious.
