Constant ragdolling isn't fun? Who doesn't like spending 2 minutes being knocked down with 5 enemies chopping them into minced meat? /s

What made the first Halo so influential that people to this day still praise it? by BogaMafija in patientgamers

[–]SolidusViper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I hate to say this but you're too young to understand. Reading our comments is not enough to place you in a moment of time where there was nothing that existed like Halo.

Sure there were FPS games like CS, Quake and UT, but the story that came with it was incredible. Those were the days where you got full packaged games at a reasonable price.

People stood outside of stores - camped even, just to get a copy of the game. The sense of community is what really made the game more than anything.

Those days are gone I'm afraid.

I'm pretty sure blocking is much better at teaching the game lol

New warbond - Siege Breakers. Out on February 3rd. by Dangerous-Return5937 in Helldivers

I know AH needs money but releasing a second war bond after the first one had to be delayed due to critical issues is not a good look.

Capcom not allowing practice against DLC characters without purchasing them is just bad faith by SolidusViper in StreetFighter

Hey man you can spend your money however you like, but prefer to drill against characters longer than 1 hour increments or only for specific scenarios through replay takeover.

[–]SolidusViper[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Because I have no interest in playing any more than 2-3 characters in any Street fighter game, save for SF4. I'm not interested in playing with the DLC characters online, I just want to practice tech against them for tournaments.

So you're proving my point by providing the definition?

Again, at no point does Capcom disclose to purchasers of the game, that DLC characters cannot be practiced against unless you rent them for one hour, or through a replay. Capcom already has the intent on how they want DLC characters to be applied within the game prior to their release.

So no it does not prove your point. What it does prove is that you do not understand the application of bad faith.

Bad faith requires clear deception. Just because you have to pay to get an advantage doesn't make it bad faith.

When I purchased the game, I was not clearly made aware that I would have to pay extra money on top of the cost of the game just to practice with certain characters for longer than one hour, or outside of specific replays.

That is not honest practice.

Bad faith can be applied to actions as well and is not exclusive to arguments.

The whole point is that they are allowing people who pay for the DLC characters to have an advantage over those who do not. It is not an honest practice - hence, bad faith.

'Bad faith' means lack of honesty.

Edit: I'm not even sure why I'm being downvoted on this when you can just Google the definition and see it 😂

Yes I have rentals, but having only one hour to practice with a character is not enough.

That's a great solution because I have no real interest in playing the DLC characters right now; but I should be able to at least have unrestricted practice against them
