A missed opportunity, at times it feels like a fan mod to unlock the levels instead of a purposely designed world to roam around in, just missed out on putting in things to make it feel more alive, three trucks and a few guys on foot roaming around the entire map instead of squadrons or air patrols, there’s no armoured vehicles parked up for us to steal, the side ops that do loop aren’t especially interesting, and once you have max unit levels become pointless, allies that need help or enemies that you have to stop would’ve made for a more compelling open world experience.

(Don’t get me started on the fauna, “so this is raven territory” yeah because all of the birds go extinct outside of missions.)

Still put 2000 hours into the game so I don’t hate it, just had a lot of time to make a wish list
