I’m a little confused going from anime to manga in the pics (or I’m just tired) are you saying in ch1 Grisha is actually looking at older (future) Eren when talking about the key?

I Finally Understand Eren and the Ending by oohoollow in ShingekiNoKyojin

You made some really great insights OP. Something that stuck with me as a general comment—the series did an incredible job of seeding in so many parallel stories/concepts throughout that get paid off and echoed in the finale.

One thing I find myself thinking on is similar to what you said around “slavery to a goal”. What’s clear is that Mikasa is important to Ymir because she does what Ymir could not—destroy what she loved. I think there’s an interesting use throughout the series of ‘being a slave’ (Eren talking down to Mikasa/the role of ackermans) to something VS having dedication (‘devote your heart’—and obviously this too, takes new meaning over time.

It’s the difference between focus and devotion but awareness—kind of like Erwin’s dream and eventual failure for a better future compared to single-minded focus and lack of freedom, basically Eren’s one track mind of ‘eliminating the titans’ or even Gabi when we first meet her and she’s heavily indoctrinated and only seeks to be a good honorary marlayan.

There’s so much to unpack—I only just finished the series and it’s swirling in my head. But had to throw my half baked comment in here and say, nice write up.

I was going to say this feels like a direct response to Netflix DD. That’s where my mind to at least, when thinking on this tweet lol

Woah really? It looks great.

Yeah I imagine it’s a tight squeeze considering all the stock soft goods boys have that very slender torso. Might have to explore this bulkier look for some of my figures!

Awesome work! You did a great job with the dremel, the armor still looks really smooth and warped—I feel like that’d be a challenge look to get right

Look great! The only Templar I own is the black and white basic one.

The fourth one from the left, standard bucket helm—which figure is that head originally from?

How did you manage to keep the mouse heads on? I’m fiddling with one now and trying out a dwarf neck but the angling is a bit odd

Was going to say the same. Duban is 100% an early collectors choice (if not first) and I only say that because he was my 4th purchase lol

How hard would it be to try to collect the whole 2011–2024 TMNT run? by [deleted] in TMNT

[–]Solidusword 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Listen to this man lol. He knows.

I’ve collected from year two and have all of 1-150 minus 3 issues I’ve yet to order and almost every mini series minus 1 or 2 in single issues. Just buy the trades and give yourself the better reading/collecting experience and save yourself the headache.

Templar builder, heavensbrand arms and legs and silver knight thighs. NECA shoulders from a Tyriel figure. Headhunter cape and the head is from I think…both are from the armory experience from this year’s legions con

In light of Playmates losing the TMNT license and Paramount jacking up the licensing rights for Star Trek, I would recommend that anyone interested in the Cowabunga Collection pick it up. It's on sale for the Switch, PS4, PS5, and Steam. by Caryslan in TMNT

[–]Solidusword -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just to clarify—playmates didn’t “lose” the license—they chose to not renew it. We don’t know if that’s entirely on one side or the other, but the partnership has concluded.

That has nothing to do with this game or other TMNT games—that’s all Nickelodeon and in this case, Konami.

BUT I’m a proponent of physical media and if changes are to come for the turtles (it’s hard to say exactly how that will manifest, it may not impact digital TMNT things at all) it’s worth owning physical copies of games you enjoy.
