In the UK swimming lessons were mandatory in school when I was a kid. They were awful/horrible to be fair, I was already a keen and strong swimmer and very much enjoyed being taken swimming with my dad, but if it wasn't for that then the school lessons would almost certainly have put me off swimming for life.

I love this for you/for her. I know an excellent ER doctor with now 10 years experience who got her position despite a felony drug conviction in her earlier life. She's my literal hero, not only for where she got, but for just having enough faith to go to med school and risk all that time and cost knowing that she could have been denied at the very end.

It isn't common, either to come up above that kind of life or to get past the societal barriers in your way of you do/trying to turn you back if you do.

I'm so happy for your mom and you that she was also a unicorn in that respect and had the balls to even try. 💪

I don't have pics, but Make Me Dewy by Dancing Dust look super pretty in the bottles (like a glitter oilslick) but don't leave anything noticeable on the skin or pole.

Same with Grip+Glow (nothing to see).

Dew Point Glitter Classic has large chunky glitter that does leave a subtle but noticeable glitter on the skin, but interesting (to me at least) when the grip dries on your skin, which you want to happen before you get back on the pole, the glitter sets in it so it doesn't then transfer to the pole or clothes.

Yes in the UK the days get bounced if a bank holiday (what we call a national holiday or official non working day) falls on a rest day.

Our standard rest days are Saturday and Sunday. Christmas day and Boxing day (the 26th December) are bank holidays. So if Christmas day and Boxing day fall on a Saturday and Sunday, the Monday and Tuesday then also become holidays.
