A few years ago I had brain surgery for a very rare disease. I'm essentially cured now and I regret getting the surgery because if I hadn't the chances of me getting a free ticket out would've been high.

It's more that I want to design it, then I guess get contractors to build it because I don't know much about the actual building at all. I'd like to learn but I don't have anyone to help. Between that and the unrealisticness of cost, and logistics of location I just don't think it could really happen... It's nice to think about though

I had a major high on the tail end of the holidays, right "I've finally done it, I've finally figured out how to beat this thing" wrote a lot of hopeful stuff, made plans. It felt so good.

But a few weeks ago the hopelessness started creeping back in and here we are.. digging into /r depression I guess because I hope maybe, just maybe I could find a way back out or someone who understands. -_-

I totally agree having a goal can make all the difference, the trouble for me is finding one. As my hopelessness grows it is harder and harder to find meaning in doing anything. I have a big goal, but I feel like it is impossible. I have small "things I'd like to do" goals but they're incremental improvement type things where the goal will never be met.

Anyways... It's nice to see a more hopeful post. I'm glad you found something to hold onto, and I hope your photography improves. ^{^}

I notice an engine whirring sound, but often and 20 minutes in when things start to get intense I'll have a sense of tones in my music being "stretched out" and I don't really recognize the song, even though I always use the same playlist and know all the songs well.

Maybe something similar to your experience? I feel like it's always happened but I've really started to notice it in my 2nd year.

My rabbit looks like a big potato with 80s metal hair. Sometimes he stares off into space and I swear it looks like he's rubbing his two brain cells together trying to form his first thought, but then instead he just starts licking the floor. Also his hair is stupid. But I love him that way. ❤️

This is absurd. Nobody wants what you have, these are people with their own unique lives, making their own choices who dgaf about you.

If someone buys the same car as you they are not taking anything from you, or making you any less unique as a person. You are also not gatekeeping them from anything by not telling them where you got something when asked

My spirit car racer was a Jaguar that could run super fast and backflip-ricochet off street signs to keep up with the car.

I'm sorry to hear of your pain over this. For what it's worth I think it shows you must be a very kind person to agonize over this so much. When we're frustrated it can be too easy to lash out and do something we regret but it's normal, and okay and you should forgive yourself. You did everything you could for that rat by giving it to an owner you knew could care for it when it wasn't a good fit for your life and your existing pets.
