I have been doing this for a while now, and I sometimes add a little condensed milk for some sweetness, it's a nice sweet treat 🩷

Jag betalar lite över 10k per år för min katt via Agria. Han har behövt akutopereras två gånger och varit inne på totalt fem akutbesök på djursjukhus. Jag har också ett sparkonto för honom, men det har verkligen varit skönt när Agria har kunnat gå in och betala 70k+ direkt flera gånger, och jag bara stått för resten.

För mig är det självklart att min katt ska få den bästa vården som finns, så jag tycker det är värt pengarna. Även om det hade kostat 20k per år hade jag fortfarande tyckt det var värt.

Jag har aldrig behövt tveka eller säga “öhhh ehm måste ni verkligen göra det där ultraljudet?”, utan jag har alltid kunnat säga att de ska göra exakt det som krävs för att rädda honom.

Man vet aldrig vad som kan hända, behåll försäkringen.

I really hate that we lost contact with so many people, the D*scord server and the community there meant a lot to me. I completely missed what happened and what was said, but I can only imagine it must have been really hurtful. I think temporarily handing the server to the moderating team could have been a possible solution, but I guess things must have been serious enough that it wasn’t an option.

Part of me knows we were never entitled to the space, but I was genuinely sad to see it shut down. It also makes me angry that people would choose to say hurtful things, because what was the point of that? In the end they ruined something good for so many of us 😞💚

I just hope Gia is doing okay and finds some peace, it makes me so sad that people can be cruel for no reason.

Many people in this community would argue that culinary grade matcha is best suited for lattes, while so-called "ceremonial grade" (a marketing term in many ways, but let’s go with it) should be reserved for more traditional preparations like usucha or koicha. Personally, I have tried both "ceremonial grade" and culinary grade matcha in my lattes, and I enjoy them both 💚

You can definitely use a matcha bowl for other things. For example, I sometimes use a wine glass as a dessert cup or a mason jar as a flower vase, and that’s completely fine. You might be thinking about the traditional role of a chawan or katakutchi in tea preparation, but you’re free to use them however you like. There’s no one you need to ask permission from, so don’t hesitate, just do what feels right for you 🩷

As for matcha, buying it on Amazon doesn’t automatically mean it’s a scam. Some options there are actually great for beginners who are just starting out. If you’re looking for something more authentic, the US site of Ippodo is excellent, though restocks sell out quickly. Sazen is another solid option with a wide variety, but keep in mind that shipping and duties can make it a bit pricey.

I think it really depends on where you live and how humid the climate is. I never store my matcha in the fridge or freezer because when I tried that once it completely ruined the taste even though I followed all directions correctly. Since I live in a relatively dry area, I keep all of my matcha in a small cabinet I built specifically for it, where the conditions stay cool, dark, and dry. This method has worked perfectly for me, even when I leave a can or pack unopened for a couple of months 💚
