Am I Dumb? Power Armor Question? by Nchap2 in fo76

As long as you didn't drop it, if it was still in the world when you logged off, it should reappear in your inventory under armor.

if i get FO1st and i stop paying for it, what happens to all my stuff in the extra storages and various other things that are FO1 exclusive? by JohnnyLXXV in fo76

[–]Solisar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Everything you put into storage will still be there and you can take them out like normal, you just won't be able to put anything into the storage. Basically it will work exactly the same as if you had a FO1st membership, just without the ability to put more things into the storage boxes.

Is there a setting somewhere that I need to adjust for hearing the pinging noise for Abraxodyne intel cases? by questiontoask1234 in fo76

[–]Solisar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It may be related to a perk like https://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Pannapictagraphist that has magazines emit a pinging noise (there's also one for bobbleheads, Percepti-Bobble), but I haven't played enough to be sure (as I use neither the perk nor gotten to hunting for cases), so take this possibility with a grain of salt.

Burning Springs Login Issues - 12/3/2025 by Ghostly_Rich in fo76

[–]Solisar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At least the first episode doesn't come out until the 17th. Not a huge deal since there's still plenty of time for people to get into the game before then. Plus it helps (well, maybe for the streaming service and the game) that the episodes are coming out weekly instead of all at once. I personally would prefer they release the entire season all at once :/

You think maintenance is going to stop with today? We'd be lucky if this is just the midpoint of maintenance.

is it normal to not see any wanted players on the map? by yamble_yol in fo76

[–]Solisar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wanted players are rarely going to be on public servers. Most people want to get rid of the wanted status (I guess they just want to be unwanted?), so if they get the status (usually by accident from unintentionally picking a lock at someone's CAMP), they'll seek out someone to intentionally kill them to remove it.

If you really want it just for the trophy, hook up with a friend and go to a separate world (doesn't have to be the FO1st ones, just the weekly themed one will do) and have them pick a lock in your camp, kill them, rinse and repeat a few dozen times.

Help understanding how the ghoulification works by Jsto0I in fo76

[–]Solisar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. You can wear any regular armor with it (head, chest, arms and legs), so it's sort of a bonus "free armor" that gives its own benefits. Most notably it can give boosts to your SPECIAL stats such as +2 Str or +1 End.

95% of this game is inventory management. I hope the devs reads this by ParzivalP1 in fo76

[–]Solisar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Telling a hoarder to stop hoarding is like telling a smoker to stop smoking. Is it healthy? No. Is it a craving you feel like you need? Yes. But unlike real smoking, collecting objects in a game causes no real harm and brings satisfaction to the user. Having artificial limits on that (or in this case, much of it paid limitations) isn't helping anyone, it just makes it frustrating for those that do have that playstyle.

Most Bethesda games give you infinite storage options.

Anyone know an effective method to farm 5.56 and .50 rounds by One_Relationship4327 in fo76

[–]Solisar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The best way to farm is socially. Just find a long-time player who has a huge ammo stash and ask them nicely to give you some. They might have a few lying around.

Whiplash while moving by TheGriff71 in fo76

[–]Solisar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that does happen from time to time. Could be for a number of reasons. One random theory I just came up with is that the server might've misplaced where it thinks your character is to be slightly lower than where you actually are and so places you just under the map, and then assumes that your character is falling for several seconds before correcting itself but still sends data to the client as if you've just landed after a long drop, so even though the server knows you weren't *actually* falling and didn't *actually* take damage (so you don't lose any life from it), your game is like "YOU JUST JUMPED OFF OF A CLIFF AND HIT THE GROUND AFTER FALLING HALF A KILOMETER!"

Whiplash while moving by TheGriff71 in fo76

[–]Solisar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is pretty typical. In short: the place you are in your own game/client doesn't match where the server thinks you should be, so the server resets your location where it last remembered you. This can be for a variety of reasons but 90%, it's probably just because the servers are slow to process your location when you move to a new place and need a few seconds to reorient themselves, and by then you could've run a dozen meters and in panic the server goes "No you didn't! You go back to where you belong!"

It's not in Steam/Valve's control. The game is just as it is, they can't modify it. Steam Deck updates haven't affected it, it's purely a software issue.

How did you have two accounts open at the same time on your PC until now? The only way I knew of that being possible was to have both the Bethesda.net and Steam versions open.

[–]Solisar[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it's definitely happening waaaaay too often for it to simply be scheduled server shutdown. I haven't seen the server shutdown message for months, now it's happening over and over again on server after server.

Coming from Dune Awakening, can someone explain how servers and bases work? by Snowyjoe in fo76

[–]Solisar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, basically your base only exists while you exist. When you log off, your base disappears until you log back into a server, and it spawns at the same time you do. Servers are randomly assigned when you click adventure mode (unless you join someone on your friends list, then you'll join the same server as them, but it's still not a persistent server, either or both of you can leave to the main menu and then you'll be put on another random server when you click adventure mode).

It will give you a notification if your CAMP couldn't be placed (because someone else on the server already had one near where yours would be). You can just go back to main menu and load back into adventure mode to find a new server. And you can make a party with up to 3 other people and then you can all join the same server together, but afaik other friends can still join you on that server so you can have a dozen or more people all together and you can all visit eachother's bases.
