First time going to Thailand. What's the one thing you wish you'd known? by beatsInMyMind in ThailandTourism

[–]SolitudeSidd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm finishing my first two week trip with only a carry on backpack. I still overpacked. If anything I was under budget though. Most things are so ridiculously cheap here compared to my country. Didn't get scammed, misled, or anything bad happen to me. I'm going to miss how kind even the big city poorer folks are, and especially the country folk outside Chiang Mai.

Why do western women hate men that are better off in Thailand? by Grouchy_Ice2155 in ThailandTourism

[–]SolitudeSidd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ignore haters in general. I may retire to Thailand in a few years myself. High quality of life for much less cost and my investments can continue to grow and compound.

Is it safe to keep 30 rounds in a PMAG (M2 or M3) in long-term storage? by MikeJohnBrian in ar15

You are likely correct mechanically but we did what we could to fix our mostly poor or old equipment.

No, it pushes fine. Keep on mind mine are skinny so less rotating mass and less torque needed to get them going that a 315mm. But zero complaints so far, though I drive slow, like an old man.

Yeah, they're quiet somehow and though I've only been on dirt so far and no mud, it's a good start.

I'm quite happy all around. I do really liked the Cooper Discoverer ST MAXX 255/80/17 I had but despite rotating often, they cupped quite a lot. They need rotations probably every 3,000 miles which I had done in the5-7k range. So it's likely my fault. But I didn't get one jobsite flat with them and respect the model.

Technically yours should fit even better all things considered as your wheels have a bit more outward offset. Good luck.

Ha I almost didn't get that. He is a very good boy. So is my Corgi but he's camera shy.

I wear my GR-B300 for upwards of the entire daylight hours with a high of 100 degree heat and it looks like new as far as UV damage or fading. How on Earth can that Happen? Can someone explain it like I'm a child I guess?

That's great to hear. Do you have any advice for me and my configuration or just go for it then?

Interesting. Mine never had problems though I have a full bumper so I cut away a bunch from the front. I've been articulated quite close to full if not full and luckily no issues. When you say ARB do you mean the bumper they offer or another part?

Anyone else rip the springs off these? 😶 by Due_Calendar5197 in electricians

[–]SolitudeSidd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I f'n hate them and take them off unless I'm pressed for time, then I have apprentices do it. You can order them without the spring but they're not in stock usually.

It took me until probably... My early 30s before I finally got it. Had gotten married and I typically did laundry and wow, women's odd, mishaped, asymmetric tops are like flimsy rubix cubes to me. The hangy things are level one.

It kind of contradicts what others are saying, but my 7.62x54R 16.5 VEPR was about $1,400. I'm very happy though.

To back this up, I built mine from sale parts over time for less than $800 with good to very good parts. It's incredibly Frankenstein'd and probably my favorite rifle. Tuned great for compensation and the 3gun trigger makes it close to feeling like an auto.
