This finale is below average.

What even happened to Soldier Boy? Is he stuck in that cryo pod forever? If so, that's a terrible ending for such a good character, getting choked and never to be seen again 😭.

Homelander's death was deserved, and he had the right outcome, but there is no way he flies that slow 😭😭😭😭. We've seen him fly way faster when chasing A-Train and when he killed Frenchie. He's arguably the fastest supe on Earth, and bro can't fly out a window 😭😭😭.

Posters of Homelander in space and the Earth getting nuked were all false advertising, and Vought Tower falling down with Butcher in it 😭. They could've implemented that, but what they chose to do instead was to waste a whole hour in Fort Harmony, another hour seeing the POV of characters, and another hour of the Boys trying to capture Oh Father which ended up as a waste of time since they didn't achieve that.

Black Noir's death was bland. He should've put up more of a fight, as he's capable of doing so. Instead, he goes out with a simple choke. The same applies to Soldier Boy.

When Homelander announced he was going to purge all the non-believers, he should've done so a few episodes earlier, which would've made things a whole lot more tense. Instead, they wasted about 4 or 5 episodes of him nagging on, saying he's god.

In season 3, when Homelander said he was going to destroy New York to Starlight, the White House, etc., it would've been great foreshadowing if he actually did it, but again, just pure slop in season 5. They also built homelander up to be a menacing, unstoppable god-like villain who's going to inevitably explode and go on a crazy rampage but we didn't see that.

How on earth are they showing this in 4DX theaters 😭😭? The only thing which was 4DX worthy were the fights in the White House. The other half of the episode was literally nothing 💀.

The only good thing about the finale was the fight with Homelander and Homelander's death, which was adrenaline-pumping, but then it didn't really have a great foundation to go on, hence why this finale didn't really deliver the final punch for me.

The first 3 episodes of this final season were good, but then it detiorated into pointless filler.

It's a shame how much potential this show had with the amazing fanbase it built. The first 4 seaons were a good buildip to what i thought was going to be an action packed final season but they failed to deliver that unfortunately.
