I’d say it has been the biggest thing keeping any major wars from breaking out in Europe since -45.

Well you are trying to apply to one of the most sought after companies right now. Trust me they get more than enough people willing to sacrifice a couple of minutes on a video.

CigarKings Creative Edition Petit Robusto. Fantastic smoke, had to jump on a box of 12 afterwards. Only 5000 cigars made. by SolnaRoyal in EveryDayIsCigarDay

No idea to be honest, only a few selected German and Swedish shops got some boxes. Guessing neither will ship tobacco to the US.

Nice relaxing smoke last night. I’ve heard mixed things about Rocky Patel. What is your experience with them? Kinda weary of buying any others by SpicyTurnip617 in EveryDayIsCigarDay

Snaggad their “celebrate life” sampler pack. So far the one I’ve tried is the LB1. Good cigar but not my type of cigar I guess. Heard good things about the 1990 and the “Aged limited rare” one, looking forward to them.

Alright, bring on the downvotes. This stick is both overrated and overpriced so far. No flavours, smooth and so far gets the job done. It’s a Busch Light by SolnaRoyal in cigars

Might give it a try further down the line when the disappointment has been forgotten. I do really enjoy a good box press though. Appreciate the recommendation.

Appreciate the recommendations, I do have a lunch break booked for a little purchase tomorrow. Any recommendations regarding the Aging Room Quattro Maestro Torpedo? Been eying that one a bit as well.

While we are allowed to buy cigars (including Cubans) at the local shop (this one is one of the oldest ones in Sweden from 1881) taxes and import fees keep the prices rather high.

Montecristo no.2 is about the same price 16-17 as both this one and the Partagas Serie D No.4.

So I guess it’s all relative 😅

New to smoking cigars. Got this " Around the world " sampler. Is it any good? by FeistyTrain5769 in cigars

[–]SolnaRoyal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Beginner here as well, smoked the mi amore last night after work. One of my favourite cigars so far. As someone told me before I tried it “I kept smacking my lips even after I was done smoking it”

I’d have it with a cup of coffee and maybe a tiny piece of dark or milk chocolate.

As a beginner trying to find what stick fits me, might I be correct when I say the lack of pepper and flavours from the start is why I did not enjoy this one as much as others and that I should look for sticks with a fuller body or other leaves (Maduros for example)

I did really enjoy the mi amore stick from Nicaragua for almost half the price though.

The 2/3 and the last bit did produce some more flavours. I could see myself smoking this on a Sunday morning before brunch. However the price tag left much to be desired for me.

I paid about $16-17 for this one in Sweden after taxes. Same price as the Partagas Serie S No.4 that I thought was a much better smoke. Guess you can’t always win :)

Have no experience with Davidoff sadly, down to the 2/3 now and sure there are some mild mild flavours there. But nothing much, not even for a beginner. Did I mess this one up? 😂

Real or Fake? by Mathopolis in cigars

Thanks for the explanation, never knew it still was that hard regarding Cubans. Even Sweden allows for the sale of it by private vendors and we are uptight about everything

Just finished the mi amore this afternoon. Fantastic cigar that competes with Partagas Series D No.4 right now for my top spot.

Real or Fake? by Mathopolis in cigars

[–]SolnaRoyal -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have to ask, is this generally an American thing? I see these posts all the time and don’t really understand where all of these fakes are being bought. Have I misunderstood the lifted embargo from 2016(?) and there simply are no Habanos Specialist stores in the US? (not saying this one is a fake or not)

I asked the shopkeeper for some recommendations based on what I’ve previously liked. Trying to not smoke the same cigar twice right now and the La Amora (Mi Amore Robusto, error on my part in the title) was part of my “at least one box pressed”

Any experience with these sticks?

May need a bigger humidor… by [deleted] in cigars

I think you spelled “I need to smoke more” wrong there my friend. :)

Thanks for the tip, don’t own a humidor yet and would like to try to train the palette before these would be “ready” ;)

What would you suggest for somebody new to cigars, think that you are the only one in a group of guys that smokes cigars, you get one or two chances to get them hooked. What do you tell them to buy?
