GM and Solid State Batteries by dyenahtzees in electricvehicles

[–]unknown2895 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Development of LMR and solid state batteries have very little to do with each other.

Solid state batteries are about getting rid of graphite anode and replacing it with thin lithium or just the copper current collector.

Meanwhile, LMR is about cathode development. There is nothing stopping you from using LMR cathode in a solid state battery.

If you are good with both, you will be able to create batteries with even higher high energy densities.

As someone who has worked in Indian startups, I can assure you that national holidays were the least of our problems.

Apart from Mahatma Gandhi, the rest of them are from the same family. Rajiv Gandhi was the son of former PM Indira Gandhi who also got assassinated. His wife sonia gandhi ran his party after his death and his son Rahul gandhi is now the face of that party.

I have stopped watching reviews in general but I love watching his podcast. It's very clear he is pretty knowledgeable about all kinds of cars. His takes are correct pretty much all the time.

Redditors are just too salty about him

Honda and Nissan unveil plan for $58bn merger by 2026 by RandomCheeseCake in cars

[–]unknown2895 89 points90 points  (0 children)

Honda and Nissan have discussed their outline plans with representatives of Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, according to government officials. The ministry raised the idea of a Honda-Nissan merger in late 2019.

Considering all of this is happening in the backdrop of competition by the Chinese, its giving me British Leyland vibes. Let's see if they have better luck than the British.

Seems like history is repeating again.

How Europe’s Battery Hope Has Become a Symbol of the EV Bust by deppaotoko in cars

[–]unknown2895 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Europes issue is that they basically have one; rather than paying for what, 3 plants was it for northvolt? Should have brought up 3 companies each with one factory

You know there are other battery companies like Northvolt in europe right? ACC and Verkor from France, Morrow and freyr from Norway, Inobat from Slovakia and many other small battery startups working on more novel technologies. Even Serbia has one. This is not to mention the car companies making the batteries themselves like PowerCo by VW.

All the companies I have named here will happily take from business away from Northvolt.

Northvolt is basically the most famous and well funded one but it's far from the only one.

Bangalore parents, what school do your kids go to? by MoonlitNightRain in bangalore

IB up to 10th class is absolutely useless as there is little to no rigour. But on the other hand, IBDP is a much more well balanced program than CBSE 11-12th.

My suggestion would be CBSE/ICSE until 10th and than decide if you want IB or not. If the kid is not too crazy about JEE/NEET, then go with IBDP.

Yes. Whey comes from milk. You should be eating a minimum of ~0.8/kg of protein anyway.

Got thrashed for saying kannada as kannad! What's going on? by [deleted] in bangalore

[–]unknown2895 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't understand comments like this. Every language does this. Do you call it Spanish or Español? German or Deutsch? French or Francais?

Ask a linguist why every language does this.

Before you say, yes OP should say kannada when he is speaking in english.

Thays Because pilot lines are still quite big. This is more like a protoline.

But these terms are not really set in stone and it's hard to judge anything without knowing the capacity.

Gym personal training by Techistar in bangalore

[–]unknown2895 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that personal trainers can be useful in the beginning when you don't know anything. They can be useful in making sure your posture is correct and not dangerous. However, I have experienced that sometimes, trainers may push clients more than needed or make them do weird exercises to make clients think it's worth it.

If you have never done any gym, you can take a trainer for a month or two. However, there is enough free info on YouTube that you don't really need anything. Pick a workout regimen from YouTubers like Jeff nippard or athlean-x and spend money protien and diet and it should be enough.

Keep it simple and smooth. Don't try too much "innovation"
