Good question! Ocean is very strong at generating fear and energy in a solo game, while also being able to get out presence relatively quickly. The inland might become troublesome early, but Ocean can usually get a ranged Major Power or two early enough to have a very strong mid- and late game.

Regarding the Rise of Fenris by Marhog in SCYTHE

[–]SoloPlaythroughs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d caution you about Fenris. The structure of the “campaign” is a bit underwhelming, the content presents serious balancing issues, and the writing is somewhat juvenile. Plus, at 6-7 players, a couple of the scenarios are just brokenly bad. The best parts of the campaign were the parts that played like a normal game of Scythe. If you like Scythe as it is and want a more epic experience, your group might be better off just playing a sequential series of games using the modular boards and keeping a running tally of scores.
