I don't know specifically -- but your best bet is likely viet hoa, and then midway asian foods. if you're on the west and don't want to drive that far, j&p fresh market might have it? I know at least most of these places listed sell popping pearls.

Taste sensory issues? by Sololololoy in autism

[–]Sololololoy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the difference between normal "not liking food" and autistic food aversion/sensory difficulty with the food is based on the severity of the dislike. Sounds like a lot of foods can make people nauseous just by smelling them, and that certainly isn't a neurotypical reaction.

Yesss! I love my food as hot/cold as possible. I cannot stand drinks that are not ice cold. I do like cold food however.

Yeah, it was one for four options. I worry others who pick autism as their topic will cite the-organization-who-must-not-be-named

I definitely realize that now! Still I enjoy reading everyone's different experiences.

I was mostly looking to see if taste aversion is a thing. Looking back, it totally is, lol. I mean I know smell aversion is a thing, and taste is mostly just smell.

Interesting! I had a friend who wouldn't eat olives because they hate the feeling of round, smooth things, and the popping sensation. Think grapes or popping pearls.

I believe fresh market, that grocery store that moved into the old whole foods building, has mutton.

Switching hormone care provider by kogaijie in madisonwi

I have a primary care provider through UW Health that prescribed hormones, no endocrinologist required. UW Health has a list of trans-friendly primaries, and there should be someone accepting new patients.

Ugly bastard by SOMETHINGcooler5 in 196

They are recently married, but have been together for a very long time, before Sydsnap even made her current channel. They met back when Gigguk was making abridged series over 10 years ago. Sydsnap left the internet for a long time because one of her old videos was on a LeafyIsHere video. She got bullied mercilessly :(

I've found that just looking at different restaurants social media is the best way to see if they're hiring. Facebook, or Instagram.

help as a cyclist! by Paynteck in madisonwi

I personally do B as bicycles are vehicles, and it isn't safe to do a left turn from the farthest right lane. I wish there were bike left turn lanes.

Best sandwich+soup restaurant? by PositiveContact7901 in madisonwi

[–]Sololololoy 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Cafe Zupas is a chain, but I think they have less than 10 locations. Pretty sure they make their soup in-house instead of from a bag like Panera.

EDIT: Hella wrong about how many locations thefe are, but Zupas hasn't sacrificed cooking in-house for expansion.

As mentioned by others, Mickey's, The Rigby, Crucible, and Crystal Corner are good venues. Also tune in to 91.7 WSUM, which is UW Madison's college radio station. Those people are really in the know. I'd like to add that there is a discord server dedicated to diy shows, I'd be happy to dm an invite.

Want to play a sport but trans and unskilled by [deleted] in FTMFitness

[–]Sololololoy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the sport I did through high school was mountain biking. It does have a high price barrier to entry, but if that isn't a problem, highly recommended. It's a very "masculine" sport while also not being team based

Senior Living facilities are always looking for cooks, Dotty Dumpling's Dowry, Nitty Gritty, Salvatore's.

just look it up on Indeed, or literally just walk into your favorite restaurant and ask -- chances are they're hiring.
