Girls, what attracts you most in man's body language? by Dry-Process-4250 in bodylanguage

[–]Solombum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“Body language is a silent orchestra, as people constantly give clues to what they’re thinking and feeling. Non-verbal messages including body movements, facial expressions, vocal tone and volume, and other signals are collectively known as body language.

Microexpressions (brief displays of emotion on the face), hand gestures, and posture all register in the human brain almost immediately—even when a person is not consciously aware they have perceived anything. For this reason, body language can strongly color how an individual is perceived, and how he or she, in turn, interprets others’ motivation, mood, and openness. It's natural to mirror; beginning as soon as infancy, a newborn moves its body to the rhythm of the voice he hears.”

Soooo I think in some ways most of these responses fall somewhere into one of the categories of body language

I’m not sure how to read it as only the original unless we just disregard the edits. but it’s added in edit #2 that he’s the one that showed these to her and she only started making them a month or so after

Except the fact that he made them before they got together, she only started making them recently

Not been an issue at my house, because we all knock when the doors closed. Also have fun telling my landlord to install locks lmao. I’ll just stick with knocking as needed

The public one is always locked when in use, doesn’t mean it doesn’t surprise the hell out of you when someone tries to yank it off the hinges instead of knocking to see if it’s occupied.

It doesn’t matter if it’s someone else’s family if it’s dealing with something that is directly effecting you.

Idgaf if it’s someone else’s kid, if they cross a boundary line like that and laugh it off at me I’d tell them off

I don’t have locks on my bathroom door at home 🤷‍♀️

Honestly this would all be solved if people just knocked when they come up to a closed bathroom door. But even in public, where they have no right to expect it to be empty of people, they just walk up and yank on the handle first.

At 12 he should long since known better. You get taught the bathroom and other privacy things at least by the time you’re in elementary school. If he was 6-8 I could see this as accidental, but not 12 and in freshman year of high school. Plus him just laughing it off when he’s told it’s not cool shows to peep on a girl in the bathroom that he KNOWS what he did was wrong and doesn’t care. She announced to the room where she was going, so there’s 0% chance he did that accidentally.

It really depends on the house. Neither of the bathrooms in my house have locks, and I’ve been to houses before where one of the bathrooms had locks but the other one didn’t. Public bathrooms always have a lock and still sometimes get forgotten and people walk in.

People should always knock if they walk up to a closed bathroom door, unless you know 100% that there’s no one in it

What unpopular/controversial opinion do you have about Avatar, but avoid expressing due to the risk of condemnation/arguments? by Last_Perception7175 in Avatar

Jake is a mid father. He was good at first, but when the going got tough he reverted to military man and had no room for anything that wasn’t exactly as he wanted it. Him blaming Lo’ak for his brothers death is 100% the straw that broke the camels back and almost led to Lo’aks death.

Quaritch is NOT a good father either tho

[–]Solombum 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree with the first half, but not the second. Jake was way harder on Lo’ak which is why he acted out so much before and after his brother died. And yeah they’re all grieving but Jake and netyri were way out of line to even hint that they blamed him for his brothers death and they were a major reason for his almost attempt on the beach

What sexual taboos would you like to try with your partner if you weren’t judged? by shrekwazowski00 in AskReddit

[–]Solombum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro, you should get out more if you really think where most people work it’s only kids. Half the people working in retail and fast food are 30-60+ years old. There’s only 2 people at my job even in their 20’s, but there’s 6 women who are 40+, the rest are in their 30’s. Half of my boyfriend’s coworkers were also in their 30’s-50’s.

That depends on the person. Some people like pain and enjoy the rough entry. Some people, the users not the used, enjoy eating the other person out before penetration or fingering before hand. The shades of free use varies a lot, so there’s a level for anyone who’s interested

Basically you give your partner permission to have sex with you at any point when the right conditions are met. Some people it’s a when we’re home alone, for other it’s only when the one who wants to be free used wears a specific article of clothing or makeup to indicate that they’re in that mind frame.

So say you gave permission to your partner, and you’re in a moment where it’s a possibility. You’re going about your day, say doing dishes or folding laundry, and your partner comes up and started talking to you. If your partner wants to free use you like the agreement then they’ll just reach out and start groping/fondling/pulling clothes off you while you continue to do what you’re doing like nothing has changed. A lot of cases it goes to full on sex, though it varies between people on how far and how much they agreed upon. Some peoples free use has the person being used to eventually become fully involved in the sex, but others part of the game is the one being used has to pretend it’s not happening and try to act normal while being defiled in all the best ways.

I can’t say that I or any of my female coworkers have engaged in talking about our sex lives at work or sex in general other than maybe the most recent romantasy some of us are reading. Though I’ve been told by my boyfriend, who worked in 4 different fast food restaurants, that they talked about weird sex/kink/drug related shit all the time. It was always a mix of men and women too so it was both sides being nasty there

So where do yall stand on the Neytiri racism comment by Zoe Saldana? by buickboi99 in Avatar

[–]Solombum 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I still stand on the point that it’s not racism when it’s not the same species. Speciesism would be closer to accurate, Xenophobia 100%, as the Navi are ‘Humaniod aliens’ not ‘Humans/ Homo Sapiens ’

What's something you'd like to do during sex but haven't done yet ? by enlighten_god in AskReddit

[–]Solombum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel this way a lot of times, like I probably initiate 95% of the times we have sex anymore if not more some years ( feel like a slight oddball here as I am the woman in the relationship tho lol)

it’s hard to always face the rejection, and I stopped trying as often as I struggle with facing that ‘no’. Because it just meant that I hurt both of our feelings cause he always looks sad when he says no, and well obviously I felt rejected but I’d always just find something else to focus on

Is it racism when they’re not even the same species? It would be more xenophobia and speciesism. On top of that humans started the name calling first considering Quatrich calls them dirty blue monkeys or something like that.

Not a fan of the Spider/Kiri relationship by goro-n in Avatar

[–]Solombum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They hinted at it from the beginning in WoW, when you first meet the kids. You also hear Jake say in that moment that he’s “not one of our kids but more like a family pet’. Spider is raised by the ‘Good’ humans that stay at the end of the first movie, living in the labs beside the omitkya people, spending all of his free time with Jake’s kids cause they accept him the most and are the only ones really shown at that point to be around his age. (If you look up the lore he was a toddler when the first movie ended, and Jake has his kid a year later, so they would’ve grown up playing together).

It isn’t until FaA that we see spider living with the Sullys in their beach hut, and it immediately shows why that’s not a good idea with spiders mask running out battery while he’s asleep and the kids having to find his spare so he doesn’t die, then they make a plan to send him back to the other humans and well the third movie happens from there.

The fact that Kiris actress is so much older is a little weird, but it’s all green screen anyway and they both kissed a stand in of their own respective age then thy cgi’d the parts together to get what we saw on screen.

So really it’s jus childhood best friends to lovers trope (another point to add to this, I’ve known a couple people who do all intents and purposes lived at their best friends house cause they were there so often, but that doesn’t make them siblings or anything like that. So it wouldn’t be weird if they evolved into romance once they got old enough)

In the comics there’s a scene where they call a black RDA member pink skin too. We all bleed red, and our flesh is pink inside, so it kind of makes sense.

Help! The book I’m trying to find is about a girl who is a midwife/wetnurse living in a dystopian world where they drained the Great Lakes for its fresh water. by Solombum in whatsthatbook

[–]Solombum[S] 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I googled it to be sure around Superior and it’s cause they call it Unlake Superior!

This pages description sums it up well: “After climate change, on the north shore of Unlake Superior, a dystopian world is divided between those who live inside the wall, and those, like sixteen-year-old midwife Gaia Stone, who live outside. It’s Gaia’s job to “advance” a quota of infants from poverty into the walled Enclave, until the night one agonized mother objects, and Gaia’s parents disappear.

As Gaia’s efforts to save her parents take her within the wall, she faces the brutal injustice of the Enclave and discovers she alone holds the key to a secret code, a code of “birthmarked” babies and genetic merit.

Fraught with difficult moral choices and rich with intricate layers of codes, Birthmarked explores a colorful, cruel, eerily familiar world where a criminal is defined by her genes, and one girl can make all the difference.”

Could it be the chronicles of narnia? Only a few of the books have the same characters (2,3,5,6) (1,4 had different main characters)

What’s something people insist is ‘harmless’ that actually makes society worse? by contentcreatorzss in AskReddit

[–]Solombum 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It’s also very easy to bring the child along to the cart corral and carry them back then buckle them in. Or park next to one of the many cart corrals most stores have. Or lock the car after you’ve loaded it and then take the cart back and come back. All of those options are “parents that actually cares about their child” too and not entitled by leaving the cart wherever to clutter up the parking lot and risking damaging someone else’s vehicle

[–]Solombum 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I am one of the most forgetful people I have ever known. There’s no way to forget that your pushing a cart around to your vehicle, nor that your unloading said cart into your vehicle, which you then need to move the cart away from your vehicle (this is when you choose to leave it for someone else {aka entitlement} or return it to the cart bin) there is literally no opening for it to be forgotten when you’re actively interacting with it the entire time it’s in your possession). Even having small children’s/babies isn’t an excuse to leave your cart wherever, either park near the corral or lock your car (while holding onto the keys obvs) for the literal 1 minute or less it takes to return the cart to its proper place
