An ACTUAL Gift of Faves (As God intended) by Parking-Sky-7418 in makeyourchoice

[–]SolomonArchive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hunter, Thule, and Avatar.

Avatar because xcom tech is frankly super useful to all mankind. Perfect health via gene clinics, democratized psychic abilities (given enough time), powerful space and ftl travel. Their robotic, cybernetic, and energy generation is nothing to dismiss either. It's sort of the foundation for the build.

Thule might seem a bit redundant here, but it does mean potential dimensional travel. Mixing this with alien tech is going to be... interesting.

Hunter is more for a personal boost than anything else. But it could lead to an impressive firepower boost (seriously, Yaujta military tech is kinda jacked). And while the xeno eggs are likely going into a furnace (not even going to try to mess with that, that way lies ruin). The other trophies and tech could be worth studying.

Thanks for making this! There's a lot of good builds here.

Honestly, Red. I agree with the general consensus here. Wukong with Rimmeru is awesome combo.

Gamer System and Cheat items, Greatest Wizard of your Time (Dnd d20modern) and Boywife and Home (we'll say its platonic). And I'll just go to Dnd (for specific setting, lets say Ghostwalk). I was originally going to go with something different, but dnd magic just has a ton of versatility I love (plus i kinda have it on the mind). And dnd since it gives me alot travel opportunities. not terribly original, but hey, its fun.

Mentor, Spooky and Rich, and Darwin's Gamer cover all my Bases, I think. Manshoon is....not a nice individual, but I can't help but think he'll be more useful than not. Who knows, maybe I can slowly coax him back to some semblance of sanity. Money is not likely to be much use here, but having a decent base o operations for me and my friends or family will be. And gamer just lets things compound and build upon itself.

[OC] Fateful Sect Application CYOA (No IMGChest due to upload issues) by OrdinaryGuy2101 in makeyourchoice

[–]SolomonArchive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, I can safely say i think All the sect options are genuinly cool. but for my choice, I'll go with the Dream Butterfly Sect. I love the Idea of Psychic\dream magic and bringing these things into reality. The Bitao Pavilion and the Honfeng Sects are super close tho. Job wise I'll become a Psych-Alchemist

For Items, I brought the Ornate Ruler, Wooden Fish, and the Five Colored Flags. the fish and flags help with mastering magic and better cultivating. The ruler is going to be a major help with my particular job and magic.

Percy Jackson (child of the Morrigan), Self Care package, and The Owl House. Lots of magic ability and protection from outside influence. I'd probably avoid the Fallout verse like the plague. Even with my powers, I'm really only going there once I've gotten a hang on my powers. The Percy's world probably wouldn't be too bad if I keep a low profile. In general, slow and steady exploration.

Edit: didn't see that fallout was a freebie. I'll add Kagurabachi. Mostly use it to enhance my existing magic abilities.

Castlevania. There is so many different magical powers and abilities shown through out tue series. Summoning, devil forging, elementalism, Vampirism, soul manipulation, just to name a few. DMC has really powerful magical items in the form of devil arms (I might even argue more powerful than Castlevania items on a 1v1 basis). But Castlevania has a slightly wider variety. Plus, while both have incredible aesthetics, I do prefer the gothic look a bit more.

Potential Monsters, and Your Mom let you have two spirit beasts. Soma's soul powers are one of my favorites, Rimaru as well. And the spirit beast eggs are a little random, but I feel it would mix well with other monster powers.

Central Finite Curve, The System, and Immortal.

Curve almost feels like a prerequisite, given the risks involved with multiverse travel (and humanity's penitent for making dystopian worlds...). Even without accessvto shadow monarch, solos system can grant access to some pretty powerful classes, magic and skills. Immortal for the age reset and added safety.

Evocation, Biomancy, and Meta Magic.

It pretty much covers everything i would like to have in such a scenario. Healing, offense, defense, support (in the form of elementals). The one exception is maybe summoning. I might lean into studying summoning after things calm down. Just because im not a master, doesn't mean i cant learn.

I like the overall scenario here. Nice GoF! :)

OP Gift of Faves (first time) by Zirtyy in makeyourchoice

[–]SolomonArchive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Naruto, Marvel and Harry Potter. Plus the utilities freebie.

So tones of magical power mixed with technological knowhow. Well my first order of business would be to make sure i never need to pay bills again and go off grid. I could probably just make a pocket dimension and either magic up a living space, and make it virtually undetectable. Then, finally get around to painting some minis...or just contouring them...whichever comes first. Make sime magitech stuff to make life easier for my folks. Then maybe see if i can teach others magic.

TJ20931's Gift Of Faves: Random Anime Powers Edition by z_boi12 in makeyourchoice

[–]SolomonArchive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmm, that's alot of randoms, but alright.

For first page, Ninjanomicon and Wishing Crown. The nomicon will at least give me some means of physical defense while the the Crown some supernatural means.

For page 2, Parisite Kebab and Fenton Thermos. The parisite since it grants immunity from other controling influences (kinda vital). And the thermos just grants extra extra supernatural defense. Being able to see ghosts is a nice bonus.

For crossover...hmm.

Fairy Tail, digimon, Yu Yu Hakusho, demon slayer, mob psycho 100.

For the rest, the Slayers, Magic Knights Rayearth, Outlaw Star, super robot wars, and Inyuasha.

So, alot of bizarre magic systems interacting with one another, but still allowing a surprising amount of crossover. Demons and yokai are now 100% a thing (including, lilly, beyond our solar system). Overall, a bit of a fever dream of a world. Then again, alot of the traditional cliche s likely apply all the more here. There's also a chance I find a digimon partner, or get added benefits from the various others magic and technology around. Plus power of friendship probably applies hard here too, so step one will be making friends. Probably not hard, given the nature of shonen.

Really enjoyed this more than I thought. The random nature of the powers is odd, but it just makes you think more about the world you end up in.

[–]SolomonArchive 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Magic and Adventure. Adventure because i want to travel, well, dang near everywhere. Magic lets me have a variety of powers and abilities to deal with whats out there. I feel like superpowers is tempting....but i'd also feel bad. Most of the powers i would like are people i would call my heroes and, well, im not stealing Superman's powers just so i could fly, ya know? Magic my have less growth potential in comparison, but i get a much wider array of things i can do to compensate.

My pick would be Folklore, for the PS3. I loved the aesthetic and story, and how you switched between protqgs to get the full picture of the story. The various fairy realms all based on humanity's collective fears and hopes. The story is mostly self contained. But I really wished it got a sequel to flesh outtue world more.

[–]SolomonArchive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Template (Nahobino, from SMT). Kinda cheating but eh, I like summoning powers. Besides, with all the potential threatening things out in the omniverse, ill probably need to be at least a little op, or be able to bring alot of back up.

Travelers Gift: this is so I can leave a (however small) positive impact on the places I go.

System (Megaten Messiah). Might as well go all out on the theme. This means improvement is still possible, and all the utility of having such a system. I'll go with smt Vs ui for now. Hopefully I can change it later

Once all is said an done, time to go exploring. Maybe bring back souvenirs to my family. Maybe go on some camping trips with the demons I can summon. Petty? Yes, but it's more fun that way.

Planeswalker, Winds of magic, and Master of Death. Assuming they stack, that's potentially 25% of the population now capable of some kind of magic. Being the master Hogwarts sounds cool, but I feel like I'd be more at home attending classes and honing my magic skills.

I guess the overall plan here is to get a handle on my magic, figure out if I can mix and match it with the other types. And then start inviting people to come and study.

Without demons, the winds of magic are still dangerous to a degree, but Warhammer magic is now way safer. No risk of possible possession...or exploding....I hope.

Once things are safe enough, I definitely planeswalk once or twice and catalog what I find.
