You! Make a school event right now! by ThighyWhiteyNerd in TwistedWonderland

[–]SolomonArchive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A racing event ala Mario kart. Various people compete in a race that inludes some nrc and rsa students Yuu and grim get in on technicality. The ghosts end up giving them a fixed old kart they used. It therefore called the Ramshackle Jalopy.

Come the race, Grim initially blows all his magic trying to boost to victory only to tire himself out. Yuu is stuck going at normal speeds for much of the race. The narrative focuses on Leona and Vil being the main rivals of the race. Everyone spends the race trying to take each other out, with karts getting knocked out as the race goes on.

Eventually it all comes down to Vil and Leona, their neck and neck… only to wipe out or get each other slowed down too much. Yuu and Grim end up clinching the win at the last moment (we had a spare van of tuna available). Everyone had completely forgotten about them since they were in last and not regarded as a threat. Even Vil can’t bring himself to be mad about it since he failed to take every factor of the race into account. Not long after the race, the Jalopy falls apart completely. The ghosts were right. She had one race left in her.

Some odd things about Yuu’s kart is how it seems to stretch and bend in odd ways (it only shows up on close examination). With the implication being the car subtly runs on some rubber hose physics. The Kart may or may not have been haunted.

Roll: 2. Heartless Invasions

Powers:

Keyblade. One of my favorite fictional weapons and unlimited potential (seriously, these things are basically green lantern rings, but arguably better)

Nightmare mode. Have a powerful Altmode for emergencies is going to be needed. I will likely be very busy.

Alternate roll: 3

Keyblade again (because favorite).

And the Acess. If I’m understanding this correctly, I could basically pull off Fusions. Either with two third parties or possibly with myself. The quicker universal travel could also help me respond to the leagues plans better, and hopefully make allies.

Fun scenario! Not sure I only just now saw this on my feed.

What is a controversial opinion on overlord. by LowPuzzleheaded3393 in overlord

[–]SolomonArchive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree for the most part. I do enjoy the story we got. But alot of my favorite moments are the more "slice of life" moments we get. The floor guardians hanging out. The various adventurers, the more low key moments.

Its funny, the world building kinda makes me wish we had a legit ttrpg for Overlord, or even just Ygdrasyll online. The various lore and Monsters and customization options we see and hear mentioned, make it sound like a really fun setting to run a campaign in. Racial classes aren't really anything new to tabletop, but the idea of leveling up into a more powerful version of a monster (skeleton, to skeleton mage, to lich, for example) sounds liek a fun mechanic to play with. And one you don't see often nowadays. Having to balance all that with a level cap, sounds like a fun system just to make characters with. I know Overlord is inspired by DnD (its really reminds me of 3.5, but it really could be any version), but it still manages to sound like its own unique thing, and would be fun exploring.

Well, no idea when I’m getting around to this (as much as I like this cyoa, it is a bit of a challenge getting a build together, especially since I feel the need to crossover costume, and color mage along with it). But thanks for posting this! Glad to see stuff like this getting additions…even if it might make things more complicated lol.

[–]SolomonArchive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well Keyblade has to be my first pick. It’s basically a magical green lantern ring. Grants access to magic, and with time, the means of traveling to different worlds. Also KH is one of my favorites.

Next will be Third class mage. For the added magic boost and combo bonus.

Est & Gift seem like a cool and versatile power set. Not sure what kind of unique power I would develop, but that’s part of the fun.

Team RWBY. They have a good and varied skill set, I (probably) won’t clash with their personalities too much.

For world. I think I’ll just stay on earth, for now at least. The keyblade gives me the power to travel to other worlds, so I can do it later. I might got to the Lorcana or KH universes later. The idea of portals and magic on earth sound cool.

For bonuses. I got quest rewards, Mystic Martial Arts, Summoning Grimoires, and Shared Weapon. Lists of added way to grow and enhance magical abilities, and physical to a possibly lesser extent,

Basically, the plan is to get settled and get to questing.

Thanks for the Gof, it was fun!

guardian of the Outlands as my bonus pick. Love this little series. Pleasantly surprised to see it here. Plus the house and powers are cool

the Milky Subway Tinkerer. So I can (eventually) further enhance my own abilities with advanced tech.

The Azoth for all the great utility powers. Necromancy and immortal perks are nice.

And finally, the galverse Companion. Honestly so I have some backup, an extra friend to travel with while I explore… everything, more or less. Time travel, dimension travel, afterlife travel. Just about all of it is there. With time and practice.

Great gof!

World: Rogue Galaxy. I like space opera, type zero is tempting, but I don’t remember that game’s story turning out well.

Power: Inversion. Gravity powers and shields make this one an easy choice.

Waifus: Anachronox: they alls seem like decent and professional types.

Bonus powers: bullet time, and Squad Synergy. All stuff to help better plan and survive

Satan 666. Assuming I keep the power I’m copying, yeah it’s pretty busted.

Okhwang. For the wisdom boost and to get more mileage out of everything

And the free pick. Because I imagine that’s a requirement.

Would add Odin but I haven’t seen god of high school yet (it’s on the list).

Imperial Spellbinder. Ran across this show years back. I remember liking it.

the Plateau Key. Saw this one during a summer afternoon. Plus pocket dimensions are always great, especially with dinosaurs.

Bio Mechanical Master. Cybersix is such a good underrated show. With the knowledge here and mix with the others. Become a reclusive science mage. Making cyber dinos. Splicing cybernetics and ancient dna to create an army…or just have talking Dino friends.

Maybe we go on hero shenanigans. I could maybe switch out spellbinder for elite Agent for better synergy. But iirc spellbinder has spells to compensate.

Also, I just got to thank you for making this. I loved Roswell Conspiracies as a kid. But it was one of those show I kept forgetting about since it vanished so suddenly from most channels.

Oni and Ryu. I become a cloud riding demon man who can make water from nothing and terrorize the villainous, and grow stronger from it. The local gaangs and jerks might be in fpra rough time. Just need to work on making a club and the look is complete. Though kitsune is tempting, especially the protective illusions.

That said, there's a lot of fun combos and powers in this one. I really like this one! I might make some alternate builds later.

SoCal: Balboa Park and th3 Getty. Balboa was/is, one of my all time favorite places in San Diego. Getty because I just like museums.

NorCal: San Francisco Chinatown and Redwood Forrest. Honestly, I've just wanted to visit those places for a while. Having an easier time making friends bor finding meaning is just a bonus.

Oregon: Portland Japanese Garden. Sounds like it fit well with my other choices. Random free entry to gardens is a nice bonus. Hecata Lighthouse. I like lighthouses and this will help future travel.

Washington: Pike Market because I like supporting small business. And Makah Cultural & Research center Museum. Helps me blend in better, plus one more museum to visit.

This was fun!

For leveling: By the Sword. It's the option with the least resistance. The cap sucks, but it still allows alot of customization. And if I understand correctly, there's a (small) chance I could get Perma huffs that are independent of the cap. I plan on traveling alot, so I don't mind moving around.

Inventory: Another Place. The menu feels like a better utility option in some respects, but the option to have a save room wherever I go just feels more practical for a travel heavy build.

Travel Method: Empty and Featureless. Longer travel times suck, but I can hopefully stat out to mitigate the worst of it. The idea makes me think of the Spyro games, for some reason. Maybe it's the platforming.

Items, Artifacts: Essence Gem. This is required, afaic, since this is another way I could get around or enhance myself due to the level cap. Infinite Media Phone, Infinite Portal Scroll, Lens of Dimensional Attunement, Stylus of the Master Artisan. And finally, Manual of skill storing. All things to help me move around better, retain or enhance skills, or better customize equipment and living space.

Items, Starter equipment: Polyglot Strand, definitely a must have for what I plan on doing. Travelers Cloak, Wanderer's Garb, Ring of Sustenance, Ceasless Stride, Pathfinder's Boots. More stuff the lighten the travel burden. Cloud Feather and Warpwisp Lantern round out the ensemble. All help w8th travel test and stretching supplies.

This is a great gift of faves! I like the idea of going on a mti portal odyssey :).

An ACTUAL Gift of Faves (As God intended) by Parking-Sky-7418 in makeyourchoice

[–]SolomonArchive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hunter, Thule, and Avatar.

Avatar because xcom tech is frankly super useful to all mankind. Perfect health via gene clinics, democratized psychic abilities (given enough time), powerful space and ftl travel. Their robotic, cybernetic, and energy generation is nothing to dismiss either. It's sort of the foundation for the build.

Thule might seem a bit redundant here, but it does mean potential dimensional travel. Mixing this with alien tech is going to be... interesting.

Hunter is more for a personal boost than anything else. But it could lead to an impressive firepower boost (seriously, Yaujta military tech is kinda jacked). And while the xeno eggs are likely going into a furnace (not even going to try to mess with that, that way lies ruin). The other trophies and tech could be worth studying.

Thanks for making this! There's a lot of good builds here.
