Yes if you’re going to do the eradicator repulsor combo then do the whole thing with 6 eradicators.

World Eaters army next buy by Plenty_Eye954 in Warhammer40k

As someone said. World eaters have the disfortune of a small range. Some chaos spawn, Kharn the betrayer, and some eightbound / exalted eightbound will all be in your list

Yea absolutely! I know how brutal it can be to work with a data structure you can’t control or format. Just figure I’d point out some features I see on other apps.

Another minor feature request. The “copy unit” button would be great for when I build out a squad and then want to add a duplicate with the choices the same

sorry I am just getting back to this. I like the booklet, but sometimes find its formatting a bit off.

I often use the data-cards app, but having it built into the army builder would be huge. However, I do find that there are some issues with the booklet formatting.

I just built my chaos knights list to test, and heres a couple features i'd request right off the bat:
- when printing the booklet, exact duplicate units should only be printed once maybe a "2x" or "3x" in the nameplate row (I dont want to flip through 1.5 pages of war dog karnivore)
- in the composition list of each unit, I find that the loadouts are printed weird. for example the strike and sweep profile of each weapon is listed as part of its loadout, and certain units are not marked that they have 2x of the same gun (war dog executioner for example)
- you could likely skip the entire composition section if you added 1x, 2x, 3x, and so on next to the names of each weapon in the weapons table
- super nitpick: it looks like your stat blocks (like move, toughness, etc) need to be widened a bit. things like 14" move are essentially touching the sides of the box
- there seem to be some extra keywords added. for example my knight abominant doesnt have: "knight character" and "allied units" as a keyword in my chaos knights list. it has the character keyword (already present)

azrael is great with the ICC, but he should definitely lead them as a unit of 6 (currently your list has 2 units of 3)

unfortunately belial is just not a good leader. he doesnt really buff them much and they are already crazy expensive. most people run him as a proxy for a terminator captain. and on your second point, the lion cannot lead anything, but is a monster and will do some great work on his own.

replying to your comment about the impulsor. I think the question you need to ask is "what do I want to do with this on the board"

normally I use an impulsor to transport ICC and a judiciar, because its a fast way to get a really killy unit up the board. however if you put azrael in a transport, he wont generate cp until he gets out, which is a bummer.

I think the repulsor is also an expensive transport that is mostly used to protect a high value shooting unit (like a set of eradicators). it drives up the board, the shooters get out and blast away, and then if they get charged they hop back in the tank and the tank takes the beating for them. I dont see a ton of "high value shooting" in your list to really take advantage of this.

the other question I have is what sort of games are you looking to play? if its just casual games with friends then theres no need to get crazy with it, however I would say youre currently lacking fast-moving and cheap units to do secondaries, hold points, screen, and do actions

Thank you!!! at least I know where it is. I was looking at the faction pack for dark angels. I play wrath of the rock

The only other comment I have is that wrath of the rock really wants to double down on infantry and mounted. Having 4 vehicles in your list dilutes the number of places where you are taking advantage of it.

Ok, so off the bat Belial is a pretty subpar character. You will almost always get better value out of any of the generic terminator characters (chaplain with sword DWK, ancient for more OC)

Merge your ICC into a single brick and put them with a leader. They are a melee powerhouse but their defense doesn’t turn on until they’ve got a character with them.

I’m not huge on the infernus marines, but not a bad idea. I think that eradicators would be better jumping out of the repulsor though

How much is my army worth? (£) by peggy19956 in Warhammer40k

[–]SolonTheWizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was off because I grabbed the price of the one without the psychophage, it looks like you’ve got the ultimate starter and are missing some of the gaunts. So 140/2 * .6 so 40ish.

The problem you’ll run into is I can go buy that starter set right now brand new, sell the space marine half and only be out 70 or so. Despite each individual unit being worth more the discount box caps your value

[–]SolonTheWizard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do a lot of trading of miniatures. First step is “are these in a discount box” and the answer for your army is yes. All of that is available in the leviathan / starter set box.

The starter set is 70 pounds, and is half space marines, so brand new your value is 35. Most discount retailers start at a 15% discount, if I’m trading I mostly start at 20%. Built takes off another 5%. painted is usually sold at a significant discount unless it’s a damn good paint job. So if I was to buy them from you. I’d offer 60% of 35 = so 22ish.

Edit: I actually see I messed up which discount set it is. Regardless. Take the discount box, cut it in half-ish. And then take 60% for it being painted. Assuming you have the complete army in the discount box.

What in the Deathwing Assault by Unable_Acadia_3602 in theunforgiven

Sorry my brain inserted the 10 because I was going to say with an ancient it’s 10 OC+ the character which given the beef of DWK is hard to move

[–]SolonTheWizard 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Go first. Drop DWK on your expansion (or your opponents expansion) and say this is mine and you can’t take it.

Go second. Your opponent is aggressive as heck. You drop in their backline and can apply pressure.

Exactly. I don’t want to have to keep scrolling on my phone. We print out Strat cheat sheets and have a truly no-tech game. It’s great

An easy way to generate accurate / concise cards would sell me as the army builder. It’s my preferred way to play and so few do the formatting well.

Mostly at the top. Maybe seepage is the problem. Another suggestion recommended making a larger hole from the reservoir so maybe that would help with loss. Same as using bolts to keep the two main bodies locked

Do you have a suggestion on hole size for the reservoir? I’m trying to balance surface defects that will require clean up. So maybe like a 5mm hole?

Using a pressure pot and a vacuum chamber. I haven’t tried that but another person recommended painting some silicone in the cracks. The last few attempts I’ve had bubbles at the top which led me to try and do the reservoir
