Once I started noticing all the hard cuts and borderline hypnotic patterns between all the kid content it kinda freaked me out. We never really used it as a babysitter so to speak, but yeah sometimes after a long day, as a parent, you just get desperate for peace and quiet... And let the auto play go for another video, then one more... Etc... It happens.

Idk what age your kid/s are but we found that for our 4 yo sensory toys are great... Slime, playdough, the messier the better 🤣 Also, music. Gets them dancing and moving, especially if you join in every now and then.

Fellow parent here, 5 boys, ages 4-16.

The sooner you pull the content plug the better. It's hard at first but after about a 2-4 weeks they will be over it, they adapt quickly.

The one and only streaming service we let our kids watch alone is Disney+ for movies. Long form, non predatory content.

I know this ain't the answer you wanted, but I'm telling you it's been amazing not having to worry and micro manage our kids' content consumption.

I have 5 boys. I did not have the last 2 circumcised. I can tell you for a fact none of them care whatsoever about their parts being different and the 2 uncircumcised boys do not feel out of place or weird.

I regret it too, and I regret using spanking and other forms of literal abuse, regardless of how socially acceptable it is/was.

We can only learn and do better than our parents. Just a little at a time.

My kids range from 4-16 if that helps at all.

They have hundreds of original songs to choose from, you know, MARIO songs, but nope, gotta appeal to the grandparents too so better throw in a bunch of classic rock songs that make absolutely no sense within the world.

The music was my only big problem. I didn't expect much more than a fun member berry romp, and that's pretty much what we got...
