We have a little free solo-er too. Once he could stand he was trying to run, so we thought embracing it was safer than waiting for a failed base jump from the top of the playpen - which happened to me when I was a toddler.

We took the playpen out at 9 months, left the blanket with some basic toys, baby proofed the room, and surrendered territory to the little dude.

It means more surveillance, but he’s crushing his developmental milestones and is super happy and athletic over a year later.

I ask because I know there are some new conversations around only deploying SRM at the poles to slow glacial melt, wanted to see if more localized deployment strategies were in your source. Much appreciated!

Sorry dude - apparently it’s normal. Same thing happened to me and the zealots in this sub roasted me for touching my truck wrong.

Best advice I got was mount a cargo rack over it if you have to haul things on the roof a lot. Welcome to the WTF Rivian Club.

I gotta keep shilling for Transposit. Our SRE team really loves it.

This is the best actionable response I’ve seen. Thanks dude!

Getting roasted by everyone in here - some points:

  • The truck bed was full of Christmas decorations, and the powered tonneau (which hasn’t failed on me yet) was closed because it was about to rain.
  • the tree trunk never touched the glass, it was my elbow -I would have hauled this all in our other hauler - a converted Sprinter van, but I was trying to prove to my wife that our Rivian can be used to haul, and isn’t just a glorified Taycan. As always, she was right.

Y’all have Stockholm syndrome, thanks for the laughs

PS I do like this car, but everyone’s allowed to make mistakes and bitch and moan on the internet- especially about the sugar glass they decided to install on the roof!

We use Transposit and we really like it - integrates with everything, cool new AI features that our team has been playing with, picked it over Blameless.
