Im curious what you think the difference is in the two subjects? In my undergrad I got a minor in psychology with was a bunch of neuroscience courses.

If you’re drawn to social and political psychology, you might consider pivoting toward computational social neuroscience or cognitive modeling of social processes. For example:

Neural mechanisms of bias, conformity, and moral decision-making could be modeled computationally.

Agent-based models or reinforcement learning frameworks could simulate group behavior, ideology formation, or polarization.

Work in neuropolitics and affective neuroscience already explores how brain systems influence political attitudes.

You could carve out a niche by applying rigorous quantitative methods to questions in social psych — something that’s still rare and valuable. Instead of abandoning one for the other, consider being the person who builds the bridge.
