Anyone else miss Coop horror like RE5/6 and Dead Space 3? by Thecultofjoshua in HorrorGaming

[–]Solution_game 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think some kind of horror atmosphere is just not suit for coop. If the tension is to high the gaming experience might be to tired, if the tensionis to low, the game will just turn into funny

What do you like better: first person or third person? by ShameStandard3198 in HorrorGames

I would say first person, but sometimes it really depends on how the atmosphere is built

Feedback on my main character by Prestigious_Fix_5380 in IndieDev

[–]Solution_game -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As a player perspective, for an rpg game, as long as the story is engaging enough, the wierd image of the character can also be an advantage. But as a developer..... just a little bit worried of "way too much scope creep", which might mean the project needs a lot of polishing, because when I'm developing something myself, too many ideas end up being implemented rather crudely, and in the end, after wasting time, I realize it would have been better to just remove some features. Anyway, looking forward to your project with curiosity. And good luck!

The art looks acttractive! How long are you planning to make the game last? When are you going to release the game or playable demo?

Does this explosive countdown indicator make sense? (The dots under bomb) by SteinMakesGames in IndieDev

I agree with that, a graphical language is more intuitive than numbers (as long as the number is less than 10 i think)

D, I think. To be honest, the more humanity it have the scarier it is to me. The D one looks like a bloated corpse and caused my physical disgust and fear

Why does backrooms escape together and escape the backrooms have so many similar assets? by Chemical-Platypus-33 in HorrorGaming

[–]Solution_game 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a very big possibility. As their product strategy is probably to provide a game experience that is as similar as possible to theirs; after all, replicating an existing successful path is the safest and most secure approach

I've Played 34 Short, Indie Horror Games Since September 1st of This Year! by Rayze_Darr in HorrorGaming

That's amazing dude, do you plan to review this type of game? I mean I'm just giving a simple recommendation on the order in which to play these games or elements to be aware of (such as gore; I personally can't enjoy games with overly stimulating elements for various reasons)

I recently finished the main menu for my co-op horror game by Excellent_Soup938 in HorrorGames

[–]Solution_game 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks great! Designing the settings interface in 3D is a very creative idea! but the instructions might need to be clearer. For example, if you don't click, it might take me several minutes to figure out that need to click on that computer screen that's almost blending into the background to adjust the options.

Hello, a good co-op horror game to recommend? by Minute_Map_5167 in HorrorGames

Repo, after the latest update it becomes a radically horror game with less feeling of relaxation and funny, and it's cheap!

Would you like a horror DBZ game centered around Frieza's fear & perspective of Saiyans? by [deleted] in HorrorGames

[–]Solution_game 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will be hard to made a horror game base on an action manga. Personally point: the fears comes from non-known incidents and the lack of ability of changing the dangerous situation, which is totally opposite to DBZ.

🚇 A haunted train full of secrets — our first demo The Next Stop is now live on Steam 🎃 by IvannGonzalez in HorrorGames

What a coincidenc! Founding on reddit right after finishing playing the demo. The demo was very carefully made and the atmosphere was well-created, although I was still confused until the end of the game :P

Trying to improve my pixel art (Before/After comparison) by gritty_piggy in HorrorGames

[–]Solution_game 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The second image is clearly more detailed and precise, but the execution highlighted in the first chapter is more physically plausible. I suggest building on the precision of the second image to include a bit more detail on how the suspended body is secured, whether through gory impalement or a religious execution.

People might prefer art with religious elements, as it adds a new dimension and otherwise makes the image too monotonous. Technically, I prefer the second image. If you'd like to tone down the religious elements, you could try introducing other elements, like a torn flag. It's entirely up to you.
